Tiny Creations, Big Heart♥️

Describe the most ambitious DIY project you’ve ever taken on.

Original Artwork © Rajeshwari

Honestly, I’ve taken on so many.

I made a crochet skirt and shawl from scratch,

I shaped mirrors and clay to make my own lippan name plate,

I painted walls with colours that didn’t even exist in my moodboard,

Embroidered by © Rajeshwari

I stitched embroidery till midnight,

and I illustrated moments that only my silence understood.

But if I have to choose the most ambitious one…

it’s the courage to try so many things with my own hands.

To turn yarn into fabric, clay into art,

walls into stories,

Illustrated by © Rajeshwari

and empty pages into drawings.

Maybe my biggest DIY project isn’t a single piece —

maybe it’s the artist I’ve slowly created inside me

with every stitch, stroke, and sketch. ✨

I’m Rajeshwari💕a fashion illustrator by day, a writer at heart. While my illustrations tell stories through colors, textures, and designs, my words explore the tales that live in my mind and heart❤️. This is my little corner to weave both passions together, one sketch and one sentence at a time.🤍✨

  1. Rajeshwari, this is more than a reflection on DIY it’s a portrait of self-creation.

I love how you move from tangible things yarn, clay, walls, thread into something far deeper. The real masterpiece isn’t the skirt, the lippan name plate, or the illustrations… it’s the artist you’ve shaped through all of them.

That line “illustrated moments that only my silence understood” is especially powerful. It suggests that your art isn’t just decorative; it’s intimate. It listens before it speaks.

There’s also something inspiring about your courage. Trying many mediums takes vulnerability. Not every experiment works. Not every color behaves. Yet you kept creating. That persistence is the true ambition.

    You didn’t just complete projects.
    You built identity.
    Beautifully expressed and deeply earned.
    Blessings 🙏🌹

    1. Thank you so much Vijay ji for reading it so deeply.
Yes, I’ve tried many mediums, some worked beautifully, some taught me quietly but every attempt added something to me.
For me, creation has always been more about the process than perfection. Every stitch, every stroke, even every ‘failed’ experiment has shaped the artist I’m becoming.
I truly appreciate your thoughtful words.
      Gratitude 🙏✨

  2. LROS ( I think I had earlier named & recently forgot like Dr Spooner, I’m sorry) reading your post is like recalling how in Pune University Jaykar Library we saw facsimile
(in those days only photo zinco press was possible now we have offset)
of great British mysterious poetry poet William Blake
(known famously for his poems Tyger … he spelt Tiger like that … asked Lord .. did you create lamb and tiger ?) who used to inscribe or carve on copper plate , both painting about the poem and poem.
Later research proved, actually his wife did it for him. He gave her ideas of painting and narrated the poem.
After seeing that book I haven’t come across many examples of carving or other forms of art and words … except one more writer present here only on WP .. who is an excellent painter, poet and writer.
You carve, paint, make sculptures and write.
There seems to be Rajasthani style influence and also of Kangra miniature paintings.
    We readers are fortunate. 🌹

    1. I’m truly honoured that you remember me as BROSL — it means a lot to me. I consider myself a very small writer and I’m still in the learning phase. Indian heritage and culture inspire me deeply, and I love reading and knowing more about our traditional art forms. In fact, we even based one of our fashion shows on Tholpavakoothu (a traditional shadow puppetry art form from Kerala that combines storytelling and visual art through intricately carved leather puppets).🤍✨
Your kind words are very encouraging. Thank you so much for your support. 🤍✨
