.
I tie my anklet
the way dawn ties light to the sky—
softly,
without asking permission.
.
The jasmine in my hair
isn’t decoration;
it’s a reminder
that I bloom on ordinary days
just because I can.
.
My lehenga rustles,
gentle as a whispered secret—
as if it knows
I’m not dressing for anyone,
just returning to myself
a little more beautifully.
.
If love finds me,
let it come quietly.
I’m already a poem
learning its own rhythm.

Excellent poem
Thank you so much! I’m really glad the poem resonated with you ✨😊
really its Nishabad
Thank you… this is the very soul of it. ✨🤍
Rajeshwari ji…
There is truly the hush of dawn in your anklet,
as though each tiny bell carries a hidden sunrise.
You did not choose to adorn yourself…
you chose to return to yourself,
and in that choice,
poetry becomes woman,
and woman becomes poetry.
The fragrance of jasmine
blooms not only in your hair,
but upon the threshold of the soul…
where love does not wait,
it simply recognizes.
Your lehenga seems to know a quiet secret…
that the one who finds herself
is no longer someone to be found;
she becomes a sacred place in her own right.
You are not merely writing a poem…
you are the very rhythm
in which dawn is born again
each day.
