If Kiwi Could Talk, We’d Be in Trouble 😂

If pets could talk: Kiwi the Shih Tzu relaxing in a lap

If your pet could talk, what would be the first thing it says?

If Kiwi could talk, I’m pretty sure food would be her first topic.

Not because she doesn’t have anything else to say, but because, honestly, why waste a perfectly good opportunity? 😂

Once that important matter was taken care of, I can already imagine her looking at me and saying, “Now take me to the park. And please don’t make the mistake of thinking I’m going there to walk. I’m going in your lap.”

Once we reached the park, though, she would suddenly become very independent. She would run around, explore everything, follow whatever caught her attention and do exactly what she wanted. And if we tried to control her, she would probably look at us as if to say, I was perfectly fine until you got involved. 😂

Then, once we were back home, it would be time for hide-and-seek. The rule is simple: we hide, Kiwi finds us. And somehow, she always looks so pleased when she finds us, as if she has just cracked a case that had the entire family fooled.

Her brothers would have one little rule to follow: stay away from Mumma. She may love them dearly, but apparently, loving your brothers and sharing your Mumma with them are two entirely different things. 🤭

And going anywhere without her? Not happening.

Wherever we go, Kiwi is coming along. She doesn’t need an invitation, a plan or even an explanation. If her people are going somewhere, she has already decided she is going too.

I sometimes wonder what made her so certain that the entire world revolves around her.

Then I look at her.

And realise she probably has a point. 🤭

Because maybe she isn’t spoiled at all.

Maybe she has simply mastered the art of being so ridiculously cute that saying no to her feels like a personal attack.

And that, I suspect, is how a tiny dog becomes the unquestioned princess of an entire household. 👑🐾🤍🦋

This made me smile so much, Rajeshwari 😂🐾 Kiwi wanting the park lap instead of an actual walk is peak small-dog logic. And “stay away from Mumma” as a house rule for her brothers is too cute!

Aww, Kiwi sounds like the real boss of the house! 😂👑 The “I’m going to the park in your lap” part absolutely got me. Clearly, she doesn’t need to talk—her attitude already says everything! 🐾😂❤️

Kiwi seems to have everyone trained already. The real question is whether the family owns Kiwi, or Kiwi owns the family. 😀😀

    Enjoyed. Enjoyed.

I can very well relate to Kiwi.

She is so much like my Rinky.

Self opinionated. Know-it-all. Independent minded. Very much conscious of her rights and privileges. Don’t talk about duties here. That is completely dependent on her mood.

Oh! I so miss her. She was one big dhamaal. Absolutely unladylike. But people say pets take after their masters, sorry, mistresses. Ahem…

Rajeshwari ji, this genuinely made me smile. 😊 Kiwi sounds less like a pet and more like the little queen of the family who has everyone exactly where she wants them! 😂🐾 The love and companionship between you all come through so naturally. Truly heartwarming. ❤️

This is the absolute best! Kiwi has the perfect logic—food first, lap rides second! 👑🐾 The fact that she allows you to take her to the park, but only as a passenger, is peak ‘Princess’ behavior. I love that she claims the entire household as her kingdom. Give her a treat for me! 😂🤍

Very nice, actually they practically become the masters through their love and devotion and get whatever they desire and are able to express in a way we can understand.

🤣🤣🤣 I think your adorable Kiwi and my Rambo would get along perfectly — although I suspect they would spend the first five minutes comparing their lists of household demands! 😂

Rambo would probably say, “Yes, exactly! Finally someone who understands that we are not spoiled. We simply have very reasonable expectations, and our humans are terribly slow at meeting them.” 🤣🤣🤣🐾❤️

Please share with us how the name “Kiwi” was chosen for this cutie pie, or does K.I.W.I stand for some secret code that is TOP secret?

Going to the park in your lap and then being fiercely independent the moment you arrive — Kiwi has clearly thought this through. The look that says she was fine until you got involved is a very familiar expression around here, though in our case it comes from a nine-year-old. And the rule that the brothers stay away from Mumma made me laugh out loud.
