Dog Who Understands Me Without Words: Meet Kiwi 🐾♥️

Kiwi, a Shih Tzu dog who understands me without words

Share a photo of your pet and tell us one thing that makes them uniquely them.

Meet Kiwi — the first member of Nihshabd. 🐾🤍 Kiwi is the dog who understands me without words. She came into my life at a time when I needed her the most. And ever since she arrived, somehow, everything good in our home has multiplied.

More laughter.
More masti.
More cuddles.
More love.

The Dog Who Understands Me Without Words 🐾

She has these beautiful little eyes that somehow say everything without saying a word. Kiwi truly is the dog who understands me without words, and maybe that’s why she became the first member of Nihshabd because she understands the language of silence better than anyone.

..

But Kiwi is totally different. 😂

.

Kiwi Has Her Own Way of Being Brave 😂

For starters, she is the bravest dog I know… until she sees a community dog. 😅

.

The moment one appears during our walks, while other pet parents proudly walk past with their dogs barking and showing off their strength, my Kiwi immediately jumps into our lap.

.

“Ahhh… I’m safe now.” 😂

.

And the moment she feels safely tucked into our arms, her confidence magically returns.

.

Safe place secured. Power mode ON. 😅

.

When It Comes to Mum, Kiwi Has Rules ❤️

She loves everyone dearly, but when it comes to my lap, there is an ongoing competition between Kiwi and my two sons. 😂

.

Then there is her very strict rule:

.

Nobody comes too close to Mum.

.

Not even my boys.

.

.

Kiwi Wants What the Kids Have 😂

And I’ve learnt one very important thing about her:

.

Whatever belongs to my boys, belongs to Kiwi too.

.

They get dressed up? She wants to get dressed up.
They get a new hairstyle? She wants her hairstyle done.
They wear T-shirts? Put one on Kiwi and watch her happiness! 😂

.

She genuinely believes she is one of the kids—and honestly, we don’t have the heart to tell her otherwise. ❤️

.

She loves her ball, running around, her crazy zoomies and, of course, being pampered.

My Four-Legged Emotional Support System 🐾

But her most special superpower is knowing when my emotional data is running low.

.

She somehow senses it.

.

She comes over, climbs into my lap, cuddles up and gives me her little hug.

.

And just like that…

.

Mood restored. ❤️

Some Souls Don’t Need Words 🤍

Kiwi isn’t just our pet.

.

She is the jaan (life and soul) of our home, my little happiness package, my four-legged emotional support system and quite possibly the most pampered child in the family. 😂

.

Some souls don’t need words.

They just look at you with those eyes, climb into your lap, and somehow say everything.

.

That’s Kiwi.
Totally different. Totally ours.
🐾❤️

.

Until the next whisper,
—Rajeshwari 🧿💕

Ah, their eyes are captivating, and I so can relate that to my dogs, cats, chickens and goats.🤩😍 Even the cows and the carabaos. I think all animals.😁 Hugs Kiwi for me a lot more today.💚

Absolutely Hazel! 🤩🤍There’s something magical about those eyes that makes you feel understood without a single word. I’ll definitely give Kiwi some extra hugs from you today. 🐾🤍 Sending love to all your wonderful animal friends too! 😘

    Dear Rajeshwari, ❤️

Some companions enter our lives quietly, but somehow rearrange the entire architecture of the heart.

Kiwi feels like one of those rare souls who never needed language to become family. The way you have written about her little eyes, her sudden bravery, her possessiveness over Mum’s lap, and that hilarious transformation from “I’m scared” to “Power mode ON” made me smile throughout. 😂

But beneath all that masti is something far more beautiful the quiet bond between two souls who understand each other without explanation.

Perhaps that is why Kiwi belongs to Nihshabd so perfectly. She seems to know what words often fail to say: when the heart is tired, sometimes it doesn’t need advice, answers, or conversation. It simply needs a warm presence, a little cuddle, and someone who silently says, “I’m here.”

And I think that is Kiwi’s real superpower not emotional support, but emotional presence.

Some souls become family not because we bring them home, but because somewhere along the way, they make home feel more like home.

Kiwi is clearly one of those souls.

And Rajeshwari, perhaps the sweetest thing about this story is that while you call Kiwi your little happiness package, she may be carrying a much bigger truth in those beautiful eyes

sometimes love arrives on four little paws, says nothing at all, and still understands everything.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Oh, this touched me so deeply. 🥹❤️ “Some souls become family not because we bring them home, but because they make home feel more like home” I absolutely loved this.🤍

And that last thought… love arriving on four little paws and understanding everything without saying a word that is Kiwi in a nutshell. 🐾🤍 Thank you for seeing her, and our bond, so beautifully. 🤍🐾✨

  5. Sheknowsallblog Avatar

Kiwi doesn’t just understand you without words, Rajeshwari she knows you. That moment when her confidence disappears at the sight of another dog and she jumps into your lap for safe harbor, then suddenly transforms once she’s secure, that’s not fear, that’s trust.
And the fact that she guards your lap like it’s the most important real estate in the house, that she copies everything the boys do because she genuinely believes she’s one of them, that she arrives at your side precisely when your emotional data runs low, that’s not coincidence.
That’s a soul who’s learned to read another soul perfectly. “Some souls don’t need words” yes. Kiwi is the living proof of that truth. She’s not your pet, she’s your mirror and your medicine both. 💙

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

This is one of the most beautiful things anyone has ever written about Kiwi. 🥹💙 You’ve put into words something I feel but sometimes struggle to explain. She really does seem to know me in a way that goes beyond words.

And “my mirror and my medicine” that touched me deeply. ❤️🐾 Thank you for seeing our bond so beautifully.🤍🦋✨

Awwww hugs Nihsha, Kiwi is lucky to be loved like that. And you’re lucky to have words for it now. 💙

Awwww, hugs right back! 🤗💙 I think Kiwi and I are both lucky we found each other, and somehow she gave me a story worth putting into words. 🐾❤️

Rajeshwari, this is such a beautiful and heartwarming tribute to Kiwi! 🐾🤍

I absolutely loved reading about her antics—especially the “safe place secured, power mode ON” moment when she spots a community dog! 😂 It’s also so endearing that she genuinely believes she’s one of the kids, demanding her own hairstyle and T-shirts.

But what touched me the most is her emotional superpower. The fact that she senses when your emotional data is running low and quietly climbs into your lap to restore your mood—that bond is truly magical. You are so lucky to have such a soulful, empathetic, and hilarious little guardian. She sounds absolutely perfect, just as she is. Give her an extra tight cuddle from me! ❤️

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Some problem with my Mobile or may be I don’t use it wisely, so as I said We had two dogs one was a white terrier with big hair and another a Pug, both came in our life at an interval of a year or two and both left after being with us for almost 15 years. The second one, Pug left a few months back, with big emotional round eyes, they fill our lives with happiness but it was very painful when they left us, one by one.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Oh, I can imagine how difficult that must have been. ❤️ Fifteen years is such a long and beautiful journey together. They really do become family, and losing them one by one must have left such a deep emptiness. May their beautiful memories always bring a little smile to your heart. 🤗🐾

Read this if something in your life isn’t going the way you planned.

Sometimes the thing you’re frustrated about today is the very thing that will make sense to you later.

    You miss the bus.

    The opportunity doesn’t work out.

    Someone doesn’t call back.

    A plan suddenly falls apart.

And immediately, you think something went wrong.

    But what if it didn’t?

What if the delay is giving you time to see something you would’ve missed?

What if the closed door is protecting you from a path you weren’t meant to walk?

What if the thing you called a setback is actually a redirection?

We spend so much time asking, “Why isn’t this happening for me?”

When sometimes the better question is…

“What is this making room for?”

    Remember this:

Not every delay is a denial.

Not every rejection is a loss.

And not every detour means you’ve fallen behind.

Sometimes life slows you down because the destination isn’t the only thing that matters.

Maybe there’s something you’re supposed to learn along the way.

Maybe there’s someone you’re supposed to meet.

Maybe there’s a version of yourself you could never become if everything had gone exactly according to plan.

    So take a breath.

    Stop fighting every unexpected turn.

You don’t have to understand the entire journey while you’re still walking through it.

    Keep moving.

    Keep trusting.

    Keep going.

Because one day, you may look back at the thing that disappointed you most…

And realize it quietly redirected your entire life.

The detour you were desperate to escape…

May become the best part of your story.

    💛

Save this if you need the reminder that not every delay is working against you—sometimes life slows you down because something better is waiting on the other side of the detour.

Such a little cutie pie! And I love the name Kiwi…it’s perfect. 😊

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Aww, thank you! 😊🤍 Kiwi definitely lives up to her name—small, sweet, a little quirky, and impossible not to love! 🐾🥝💕

  13. vermavkv Avatar

What a heartwarming introduction to Kiwi! 🐾🤍 She sounds like much more than a beloved pet—she is truly a four-legged member of the family, a source of laughter, comfort, and unconditional love.

I especially loved the idea of “the dog who understands me without words.” There is something incredibly special about animals who seem to sense what we are feeling without needing an explanation. Kiwi’s ability to recognize when your “emotional data is running low” and respond with a cuddle is perhaps her most beautiful superpower. ❤️

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Thank you so much Verma ji! 🤍 That “emotional data” line really captures Kiwi perfectly. 😂🐾 She somehow knows when I need her without me saying a word and honestly, I think that is the most beautiful kind of love. 🐾✨

      1. vermavkv Avatar

Absolutely! 🤍 Kiwi sounds like she has mastered a kind of emotional intelligence that many of us could learn from—no questions, no explanations, just an instinctive understanding of when you need her. 😂🐾

That silent connection is indeed one of the purest forms of love. Sometimes a warm presence beside us says far more than a thousand words ever could.

Kiwi clearly has one important qualification for family life: she knows exactly when Mum needs her. Some souls do understand us without saying a word.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

She really does! 🤍 Somehow, Kiwi always knows when Mum needs a little extra love. 🐾🤍 I often wonder how they understand so much without us saying a word. 🐾✨

  16. iamfoolz Avatar
    iamfoolz

Yes they can understand much quicker.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Absolutely! 🤍 Sometimes they understand our feelings even before we understand them ourselves. 🐾✨

  17. gc1963 Avatar

I can so related to this, especially, Kiwi wants what the kids have. My Rinky was like that.

But her greatest and most bewildering trait was she could not tolerate closed doors. She had to know what was going on on the other side. Suddenly you’d find the door opening an inch and two curious eyes peeping in, sometimes, at the most inopportune moment.

Our canine buddies are special, God’s gift to us and we must take very good care of them.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Aww, Rinky sounds like such a sweetheart! 🥹🤍 I can actually picture those two curious eyes peeping through the door, just making sure she wasn’t missing out on anything. 😂 Kiwi has that same “I need to know what everyone else is having” attitude! They have such little personalities of their own, don’t they? And you’re so right our furry companions are truly little gifts who somehow bring so much more love, laughter, and warmth into our lives. 🐾✨

If the pets are so cute, you only wonder how pretty their moms are… lol. I’d still choose Kiwi over Rajeshwari… for a few pets, that is, if Kiwi isn’t ready to bite a total stranger trying to get into her space.
I’m quite good with the female species anyways, haven’t checked on pets, but they generally seem pretty docile – but that works with all categories, right – human and animal? 🤣🤣🤣
A hug to Kiwi from us, gosh, you love getting her dressed up, huh? 😅

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Haha, Kiwi definitely has her own rules! 😂 And yes, I absolutely love dressing her up. She makes it too easy to spoil her! 🐾♥️

The ‘whatever belongs to the boys belongs to Kiwi too’ rule made me laugh out loud — a dog who insists on her own T-shirt and hairstyle because she’s decided she’s simply one of the children is the best kind of family logic. And that instant switch from terrified-of-the-community-dog to ‘power mode ON’ the second she’s in your lap is so perfectly dog. In our house there’s always a negotiation over who’s in whose lap, so I love that Kiwi has claimed the very top spot. She sounds like pure joy.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Haha, exactly! 😂 Kiwi has completely convinced herself that she’s one of the kids and definitely the most important one! 🐾❤️ And yes, the moment she’s in my lap, her confidence magically returns! 😄

I have an 8 month old Golden Doodle; it’s a bit like living with Paddington Bear. If dogs are ever on TV she stands up to the screen on her hind legs, watch’s them cross the screen but can’t work out where they’ve gone when the camera stops following them.
