Things I Wish I Had Started Earlier | Nihshabd

What’s one thing you wish you had started doing earlier in life?

Dear WordPress, please don’t make me feel guilty. 😄

You asked me, “What’s one thing you wish you had started doing earlier in life?”

    ONE thing? Seriously?

Why are you making me choose just one? 😂

The moment I started thinking about it, a whole list appeared in my head.

Some are things I wish I had started earlier. Some are things I wish I had continued. And some are lessons I wish I had learned much sooner.

So, WordPress… please don’t judge me for not sticking to “one.” 😄

    Writing

I wish I had continued writing.

The funny thing is, I don’t even remember exactly when I stopped or why.

Somewhere between responsibilities, family, work and the everyday rush of life, writing quietly disappeared.

Some wishes and hobbies don’t end with a big decision. They simply get lost somewhere between “I’ll do it later” and “I have more important things to do right now.”

And then one day, you realise how long it has been.

    Passion

I sometimes wish I had explored fashion design earlier.

Maybe I could have chosen it when I had the opportunity. Maybe I could have given my creative side more space.

But at that time, everyone else’s happiness somehow seemed more important than my own.

Today, I realise that choosing yourself doesn’t mean choosing against everyone else.

    There is a balance.

I could have cared for everyone and still made a little room for myself.

    Saying No

And then comes the one word I still haven’t mastered:

    NO. 😄

Even today, it doesn’t come naturally to me.

I wish I had learned it earlier.

I wish I had understood that saying no doesn’t make you rude, selfish or uncaring.

    Sometimes, it simply means:

“I don’t have the energy for this.”

And honestly, that should be enough.

    Kindness

I also wish I had understood earlier that too much kindness can be bad for your own health. 😄

    Being kind is beautiful.

But constantly adjusting, forgiving, understanding and making excuses for everyone can become exhausting.

There comes a point when you have to ask yourself:

“Who is being kind to me?”

    Kindness needs boundaries too.

    Trust

    And trust…

I wish I had learned much earlier that not everyone deserves the same level of trust.

When we trust someone, we give them a little piece of our faith, our vulnerability and sometimes our heart.

And when someone breaks that trust and walks away as if it meant nothing, it hurts.

Not because trusting was a mistake.

But because you gave something precious to someone who didn’t understand its value.

    I still believe in trust.

I just wish I had learned to give it thoughtfully.

    Opinions

Other people’s opinions used to matter to me—a lot.

They still matter sometimes. I’m not going to pretend I have suddenly become completely unaffected by what people think.

But I have learned something important:

You can listen without carrying everyone’s opinion with you.

Now I try to listen, smile, think about it… and sometimes simply let it go.

I wish I had learned that skill much earlier.

It would have made life considerably easier. 😄

    Balance

Perhaps the biggest thing I wish I had understood earlier is balance.

You can love your family without forgetting yourself.

You can be kind without allowing people to take you for granted.

You can trust people without handing them the keys to your entire heart.

You can care about opinions without allowing them to decide your life.

And you can say yes to others without always saying no to yourself.

    Happiness

Maybe this is what I really wish I had started doing earlier:

making space for my own happiness.

    Not someday.

Not when everything else is taken care of.

Not when everyone around me is happy.

    But along the way.

    For writing.

    For creativity.

    For dreams.

    For little joys.

    For myself.

Because sometimes, while trying so hard to be everything for everyone, we forget the one person who has been with us through it all.

    Ourselves.

And perhaps that is the real answer to this question.

I wish I had started choosing myself a little earlier not instead of everyone else, but along with everyone else. 🤍

    And now I’m curious…

Maybe we all have a little list of things we wish we had started earlier.

If you have one sitting quietly in your heart, I’d love to hear it.
No perfect answers, no life lessons required just a little piece of your story. 🦋🤍

  • The One I’d Ride Through Life With 🐎

The One I’d Ride Through Life With 🐎

If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion (like a Pokémon or fantasy pet), what would it be?

If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion (like a Pokémon or fantasy pet), what would it be?

This sounds like a simple question.

    It isn’t.

Because now I’m supposed to choose ONE fictional animal to spend the rest of my life with?

    That requires serious research. 😂

I considered a few magical creatures. Then I thought about cute ones. Then loyal ones.

    And suddenly, there he was.

    Maximus from Tangled. 🐴❤️

Why I’d Choose Maximus as My Fictional Animal Companion

    Yes. Maximus.

And honestly, what’s not to love?

    That attitude.

    That strength.

    That temper.

That intense “I know exactly what you’re up to” expression. 😂

His face deserves a separate award.

He can communicate an entire paragraph without saying a single word.

One look from him and you know whether he approves, disapproves, or is currently reconsidering his decision to associate with you.

I love that he is disciplined, trained, confident and intelligent. He doesn’t blindly follow anyone. He has his own mind, his own principles and a very strong sense of right and wrong.

And let’s not forget his possessiveness.

He gives off serious “I’m watching you” energy.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind having that kind of companion.

Especially one who can keep me out of trouble.

    Or at least try. 😂

But the real reason I’d choose Maximus?

    The ride.

    The Ride I’d Never Forget

Just imagine sitting proudly on his back, holding the reins, while he takes off at full speed.

    The wind hitting my face.

    My hair flying everywhere.

    That feeling of speed.

    The world rushing past me.

    And me sitting there thinking…

“Yes. This is exactly how I should be travelling.” 😌🐎💨

I can almost feel that ride.

Of course, there is a tiny detail I’m choosing to ignore.

    My carefully done hair?

    Gone.

    My makeup?

God knows where it will be after that ride. 😂

    But honestly, who cares?

If I’m sitting on Maximus, feeling the wind in my hair and watching him race ahead with that unstoppable confidence…

I think the mess will be worth it.

And then comes the most practical part of this lifelong companionship.

    Petrol prices.

    Diesel prices.

    The ever-increasing cost of travelling.

    With Maximus?

Zero petrol. Zero diesel. I’ll deal with the hay bill later. 😂

See? He’s not just handsome, strong and intelligent.

    He’s financially sensible too.  😌

In this economy, that’s an important quality in a lifelong companion. 😌

Although, knowing Maximus, I’m pretty sure he’d decide where we’re going, how fast we’re going, and whether I’m allowed to stop for coffee.

So technically, I wouldn’t be his owner.

I’d probably just be his very enthusiastic passenger. 😂

    And honestly?

I’d happily take that ride. 🐎❤️

    Now tell me 🦋…

If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion, which one would you choose? 🐾✨

  • Turns Out, I’m Stuck Being Me. 😏

Turns Out, I’m Stuck Being Me. 😏

If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose?

I spent almost the entire day trying to answer this question:

“If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose?”

    Simple question, right?

    Apparently not for me. 😪

I tried. Oh, I really tried.

For a while, I was Hermione.
Then I thought, Why not Enola Holmes? A little detective work could be fun.

    Then Emily showed up.
    Mia got her turn.
And after all this identity crisis, I finally decided on Mrs. Harris.

    Done. Final answer.

    Except… it wasn’t.

Because every time I imagined actually waking up as one of them, my brain went:

    “Hmm… nice character. But I don’t think we’re her.”

And there I was again. Me.

Apparently, switching lives with a fictional character is much easier to imagine than actually doing. 😂

I can admire fictional characters, borrow their wardrobes, envy their adventures, appreciate their magic and even temporarily redesign my entire personality…

    But actually switching lives?

Nope. My personality has rejected the application. 😂

So, after spending an unreasonable amount of time trying to squeeze myself into someone else’s fictional life, I have finally accepted the truth:

I am apparently too much myself to become anyone else.

    Sorry, Hermione.
    Sorry, Enola.
Sorry, Emily, Mia and Mrs. Harris.

    I tried.

    I failed.

    And honestly?

After all that drama, I think I’ll just keep my own life. ❤️

Although… if someone offers me Mrs. Harris’s wardrobe, I may reconsider. 😏

Now I want to know—if you could borrow someone else’s fictional life for a week, who would you become?

And please tell me you’d actually choose someone…

because I clearly spent an entire day choosing everyone except myself. 😂

Maybe you’ll have better luck than I did. 🤍🦋

  • Love and Betrayal: Why I Like Maleficent

Love and Betrayal: Why I Like Maleficent

    Daily writing prompt
Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero? Who and why?

Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero?

    Well… I have. 😄

    Maleficent.

And before you start judging my moral compass, let me explain.

I don’t usually have a soft corner for villains. Especially the ones who wake up in the morning and think, “What evil thing can I do today?” No, thank you. 😂

    But Maleficent is different.

    She was a fairy.

And I have had a soft spot for fairies since I was a little girl. I mean, what’s not to love? They have wings to fly, live in magical forests, look impossibly pretty, and seem to have that little bit of magic that makes ordinary life feel… well, less ordinary.

So, naturally, a fairy had my attention. 🧚‍♀️

But Maleficent wasn’t just any fairy.

She was beautiful, powerful and capable of love. She trusted someone and believed in that love.

And then someone decided to teach her the other side of love and betrayal.

    He betrayed her.

    And something inside her changed.

The fairy who once flew freely, loved openly and trusted easily slowly disappeared behind anger, bitterness and those magnificent black wings.

    The magic was still there.

    The love wasn’t.

Or perhaps… she had simply buried it very, very deep.

And isn’t there something terribly unfair about this?

Someone gives you their trust, their love, their whole heart. Someone else betrays that trust, breaks that heart, and walks away.

And then the person who was once so good, so loving, so trusting changes because of that betrayal.

    Suddenly, they are the villain.

But what about the person who betrayed them?

Why do we so easily forget what happened before the transformation? Why is the one who changed after being hurt remembered for what they became, while the one who caused the hurt is rarely blamed for what they did?

We judge the scars, but somehow forget who caused them.

    How unfair is that?

    Which got me thinking…

Isn’t that the scary thing about love and betrayal?

Love can make you do the most ridiculous things. You trust someone completely. You hand them the softest, most vulnerable parts of yourself and think, “Here. Take care of this.”

And then, if they betray that trust, the same love can turn into anger so powerful that you don’t even recognise yourself anymore.

Love has the power to create.
Betrayal has the power to destroy.

    And then there was Aurora.

The little girl Maleficent had cursed slowly became the one person who could reach the part of her that she had locked away.

Aurora didn’t see the monster that everyone else feared. She saw the fairy who was still hiding underneath all that anger.

And somehow, the little girl she had cursed brought back the one thing Maleficent thought she had lost forever—her ability to love.

The curse meant for Aurora became an unexpected kind of healing for Maleficent herself.

And perhaps that’s why I don’t see her as just a villain.

I see a fairy who loved, trusted, got hurt, became bitter… and then, slowly, found her way back to love.

Maybe that’s what makes a character memorable.

Not that they are good or bad.

But that somewhere between the two, we can recognise a little bit of ourselves.

Because most of us have known love.

And most of us have known what betrayal feels like.

Thankfully, none of us grew horns afterwards. 😄🦋

    Or did we?

    Stay Inspired. It’s Free ♥️

What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?

What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?

    Honestly? Get inspired.

By anything. Anyone. A person, a book, a place, a conversation, a failure, a stranger doing something kind… even that one person who somehow manages to look put together before 8 a.m. 😂

You don’t have to wait for some life-changing, cinematic moment. Sometimes inspiration sneaks in through the smallest things.

And there’s something funny about inspiration once you’re genuinely inspired, everything starts looking beautiful.

The same sunset you ignored yesterday suddenly looks like it deserves a poem.
A random cup of chai becomes a moment.
A difficult experience becomes a life lesson.
And even your own mistakes start looking slightly less embarrassing. 😄

So my advice would be: stay curious, stay open, and collect inspiration wherever you find it.

Because you never know what will change your perspective.

And if nothing else, you’ll have a very interesting collection of stories to tell when you’re older and start giving unsolicited advice to people younger than you. 😂

Now it’s your turn: What’s inspiring you these days? And yes, “coffee” is a perfectly valid answer. ☕😂

  • The Longest Trips Aren’t Always the Longest ♥️

The Longest Trips Aren’t Always the Longest ♥️

    Daily writing prompt
What’s the longest trip you’ve ever taken?

Technically, the longest trip lasted ten days. Emotionally, it lasted much longer. The photographs continued for months, the stories for years, and the laundry… let’s not discuss the laundry. 😂

Some trips end when you reach home. Some somehow refuse to.

You unpack, put away the souvenirs, wash clothes that have travelled almost as much as you have, and think, “Okay, back to normal.”

But somehow, you’re never completely back.

A photograph appears on your phone. Someone mentions a place. You hear a song you played on the road. And suddenly, you’re there again.

I’ve had quite a few trips like that.

    The road to Bhutan

Our India-to-Bhutan road trip was one of them.

The ghats, the rivers, the views… absolutely beautiful. There were stretches where the river seemed to be following us. Every time we thought we had left it behind, there it was again.

    The only problem?

    Food.

There were surprisingly few options along some stretches of the road. So while the scenery was busy taking our breath away, our stomachs were busy asking, “Great view. But where’s lunch?” 😂

Still, it was an amazing journey.

One of my longest trips: Goa

Then there was Mumbai to Goa with friends.

We had actually gone out to a mall.

And somehow, we ended up in Goa.

That was the entire planning process.

We had no luggage prepared for Goa. Just our wallets and the car. Once we reached, we simply went shopping for whatever we needed.

    Short trip. Almost no planning.

    Big memories.

Sometimes, apparently, the best travel plans are the ones you never make.

And then there was Changu Lake

Darjeeling and Gangtok gave us another memory I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

We went in early winter and were driving towards Changu Lake. The car heater was on, but outside there was bright sunshine.

So, naturally, when we stopped, we got out without shawls or sweaters.

It was sunny. What could possibly go wrong? 😂

For the first few seconds, nothing.

    Then the cold hit.

And when I say cold, I mean the kind that makes you immediately question every decision that brought you there.

Our driver had gone down to get something to eat, and we were standing there completely unprepared, discovering that bright sunshine at that altitude does not necessarily mean warmth.

That trip still makes me smile.

Maybe because the best travel memories aren’t always the grand ones.

Sometimes they are the silly little moments.

    A meal you still remember.

    A road you still picture.

    A completely unexpected detour.

A place you weren’t prepared for.

Or the moment you realise that yes, you really should have carried that sweater. 😂

And sometimes, the souvenirs that last the longest aren’t the ones you buy.

They’re the stories you keep telling.

And sometimes I wonder if we’re even supposed to measure a trip by its duration.

Because I have taken trips that lasted several days and trips that were over before we had properly figured out what we were doing.

Yet ask me about them years later, and I’ll remember the river in Bhutan, the completely unplanned drive to Goa, or the exact moment at Changu Lake when we realised that sunshine had absolutely nothing to do with warmth. 😂

Maybe that’s the real measure of a long trip.

How much of it stays with you after you’ve come home.

And if that’s the measure, I’ve probably taken some very, very long trips.

So, what’s the longest trip you’ve ever taken?

And forget the number of days for a moment—what’s the one little memory from that trip that has stayed with you?

  • Budget Travel Tips: My Advice (That I Don’t Follow) 😂

Budget Travel Tips: My Advice (That I Don’t Follow) 😂

What’s your best tip for budget travel?

If you’re looking for budget travel tips, the first rule is simple: plan ahead.

Book your flights or trains well in advance.
Reserve your hotel early, especially if you’re travelling during the holiday season.
Have your itinerary more or less sorted, so you know where you’re going and how you’re getting around.
Compare prices before booking, use public transport wherever practical, and eat at local places instead of spending every meal at a fancy tourist restaurant.

A little planning can save you quite a bit of money.

    There. That’s my budget-travel wisdom. 😄

And honestly, it’s all very good advice.

I just don’t follow most of it when I’m actually on holiday. 😂

Budget Travel Tips I Don’t Actually Follow

Because for me, a holiday is supposed to feel like a holiday.

I like having my tickets and hotel booked, obviously. I’m not going to land somewhere and start looking for a room! 😂 But once I’m there, I don’t like my days to be ruled by a rigid itinerary.

I like waking up at my own time, having a long, lazy breakfast and deciding what I feel like doing that day.

And if I have a plan but wake up thinking, “You know what? I’d rather stay in today…”

    Plan cancelled.
    No guilt.
    No regrets.
Blanket on. Back to sleep. 😴😂

I also happen to like good hotels. I’m definitely not from the “the hotel is only for sleeping” school of thought.

If I’m on holiday, I want to enjoy the hotel too. The room, the breakfast, the comfort, the little luxuries… I want all of it. 😄

And food? That is definitely not where I’m looking to make heroic sacrifices. 😂 I love trying local food, street food, exploring local markets and discovering those little places that you won’t necessarily find in a tourist guide.

And yes, I have absolutely no problem indulging in something deliciously unhealthy once in a while. It’s a holiday, not a nutrition conference. 😄

And then there are those trips where we don’t plan at all.

A long weekend comes up, we have a few days free, we look at each other and say, “Let’s go somewhere.”

And off we go in the car.

No advance bookings. No elaborate itinerary. Sometimes not even a proper destination beyond “let’s see where the road takes us.” 😂

And somehow, those spontaneous trips can be just as much fun.

So yes, I can happily tell you how to save money while travelling.

But if you ask me whether I practise what I preach…

Well, let’s just say my budget-travel advice and my actual holiday personality are two completely different people. 😂

For me, a holiday needs full enjoyment, full masti and full relaxation.

Because if I have to rush around following a timetable from breakfast to bedtime…

that sounds suspiciously like work. 😄✈️

    And people like me?
We may not always travel by the rulebook, but we certainly know how to enjoy a holiday. 😉

  • Doraemon, Please Take Me In! 😂

Doraemon, Please Take Me In! 😂

    Daily writing prompt
Who is your favorite cartoon character?

As a child, I had quite a list of favourites—Aladdin, TaleSpin, Chacha Chaudhary, DuckTales, Mowgli, and so many others that made childhood feel a little more magical, adventurous and fun. ❤️

    But then adulthood happened…

and apparently, my taste in cartoons evolved with my problems. 😂

    Because now?

    Mine? Doraemon. Obviously. 😂

    Not because he’s cute.
    Not because he’s blue.
And definitely not because I enjoy watching Nobita get bullied every five minutes. 😭

I like Doraemon for a much more practical reason:

The man owns EVERYTHING I want. 😌

    🚪 The Anywhere Door

    Take the Anywhere Door.

Why would I waste time travelling when I can simply open a door and POOF! — I’m at the person’s house?

    “Coming over?”

    “Already there.” 😎

    And just imagine the drama!

Someone says, “I live too far.”

    Me: opens door

    “Not anymore.” 😂

    No traffic.
    No maps.
    No packing.
No checking Google Maps every ten minutes to see whether that red line has become even redder.

I just open the door, step through…

    and boom—destination reached.

Honestly, if Doraemon had given me that door as a child, I would have considered travelling an unnecessary human invention. 🤭

    🚁 The Bamboo Copter

    Then there’s the Bamboo Copter.

    Short distance? Fly.

Why walk when I can simply put a tiny gadget on my head and take off? 😂

Imagine me flying over traffic while everyone below is sitting in a jam, slowly losing the will to live.

    And I’m up there…

    whoooooosh 🚁

“Sorry, I have somewhere to be.” 🤭

    Anywhere Door for long distances.

    Bamboo Copter for short ones.

Basically, traffic and I would no longer have a relationship.

    ⏰ The Time Machine

    And then comes my favourite:

    The Time Machine. ❤️

Now this one isn’t about convenience.

    This one is emotional.

Imagine being able to go back—not to change anything, not to rewrite history, not to fix mistakes…

Just to see certain people, certain moments, certain versions of life once again.

Even if it’s from a distance.

Just sitting there quietly and watching a moment that is long gone…

    Seeing someone again.

    Hearing a voice again.

Watching life happen exactly as it once did.

And maybe, just for a little while, living those moments again.

I wouldn’t ask Doraemon for much.

Just give me the Time Machine.

I’d happily pay for that ticket. 🥹❤️

    👜 The 4D Pocket

    Then there’s the 4D Pocket. 😍

Now THAT is what I call financial freedom.

    Whatever I need?

    Hand in pocket.

    “Here you go.”

    😂

    Need something?

    Pocket.

    Want something?

    Pocket.

    Forgot something?

    No problem.

    Pocket.

    No shopping.
    No searching.
    No waiting for delivery.
No “It was out of stock.”
No adding something to the cart and then forgetting to buy it.

And imagine never having to say:

“Oh no, I left it at home.”

    No, you didn’t.

    It’s in the pocket. 😌

Honestly, with that pocket, I wouldn’t even need a handbag anymore.

    And my shopping apps?

They’d probably start sending me sympathy messages. 😂

    🍽️ The Gourmet Tablecloth

    And the Gourmet Tablecloth?

Oh, that gadget was designed specifically for people like me. 😂

    This one is pure magic.

I don’t even have to decide what to cook.

I just have to say what I’m craving.

    “I want biryani.”

    POOF!

    Biryani on the table.

    “I want pizza.”

    POOF! 🍕

    Pizza on the table.

    “I want gulab jamun.”

    POOF! 🍮

    Gulab jamun appears.

    Whatever I feel like eating…

I just say it, and TA-DA! It’s right there on the table. 😂

    No deciding what to cook.
    No planning.
    No chopping.
    No cooking.
    No cleaning.

    And most importantly…

No one asking, “What are you making for dinner today?” 😭😂

Because honestly, sometimes the hardest part of cooking isn’t cooking.

    It’s deciding what to cook.

And then after all that effort…

    someone makes a face.

    “This?”

    “I don’t want this.”

“Why did you put this in it?”

    😭😂

    With the Gourmet Tablecloth?

    NONE OF THAT.

I simply say what I want to eat…

    POOF!

    Dinner is served.

And I sit there peacefully, enjoying my food and my achievement.

    What achievement?

I ordered it from a magic tablecloth. Please respect the chef. 😌😂

🪄 Basically… Give Me The Pocket

Honestly, I don’t want Doraemon’s gadgets for world domination.

I want them for personal convenience and emotional damage control. 😂

Just give me that 4D Pocket and let me say:

    “Khul ja Sim Sim.”

And I promise I’ll use every single gadget with absolutely no restraint whatsoever. 🤭

    Anywhere Door?

    Mine.

    Time Machine?

    Mine.

    Gourmet Tablecloth?

    Definitely mine.

    Bamboo Copter?

    Obviously mine.

I will not even pretend to be responsible.

    I’ll use them shamelessly.😏

Because why should I struggle unnecessarily when a blue robotic cat has already solved everything?

💙 Doraemon was never just a cartoon.

Doraemon was never just a cartoon.

He was basically a walking solution to problems I didn’t even know I would have as an adult. 😂

And honestly, now that I think about it…

Maybe that’s exactly why I liked him so much.

He didn’t just have magical gadgets.

He had the ability to make life ridiculously easy.

    And frankly…

I respect that kind of talent. 😌😂

    Now it’s your turn.

After knowing this much about me…

Which cartoon character do you think I would love—and more importantly, which one is YOUR favourite and why? 👀

I want to know what your cartoon character says about you. 😁

  • What Can Your Money Become? 🌱

What Can Your Money Become? 🌱

How does your mindset affect your financial success?

How does your mindset affect your financial success?

I used to think financial success meant earning more.

Then I became a homemaker and discovered that money has another talent it disappears very professionally. 😂

That’s when I started looking at money differently.

Not just as something to spend, but as something to plant.

    A little saved here.
    A little invested there.
    Something kept for tomorrow.
Something growing quietly in the background.

Because financial peace, I’ve realised, doesn’t begin when you become rich.

It begins when you stop treating every rupee as if it has to find something to do today.

And perhaps that is where your financial mindset really changes things.

You start thinking beyond the next purchase to financial independence, future goals, retirement, and having more than one way of bringing money in.

You start asking a slightly different question:

    “What can this money become?”

    And I love that question.

    Because ₹1,000 spent is… well, gone.😂

But ₹1,000 saved or invested has the potential to bring a little more of itself back.

Of course, this is where I would like to say I have mastered the art.

    I have not. 😂

I’m still a woman who can walk into a shop for one thing and return with three things, while confidently explaining that all three were necessary.

    And then there are children.

They have a remarkable talent for discovering new expenses exactly when you’ve decided to be financially responsible. 😂

So perhaps financial success isn’t about having perfect discipline.

Maybe it’s about having the right mindset often enough to make a difference.

Plant the seeds. Let them grow. Enjoy some of the fruit.

And keep a little aside for the days when life decides to send you an invoice you weren’t expecting. 😄

Because a financially successful woman isn’t necessarily the one who earns the most.

She’s the one who knows that today’s money shouldn’t have to pay for everything today, tomorrow, and every “just this once” in between. 😂

What does financial success mean to you earning more, saving more, or simply feeling more in control of your money?

I’d love to hear your take. 🦋👇

  • If Kiwi Could Talk, We’d Be in Trouble 😂

If Kiwi Could Talk, We’d Be in Trouble 😂

If your pet could talk, what would be the first thing it says?

If Kiwi could talk, I’m pretty sure food would be her first topic.

Not because she doesn’t have anything else to say, but because, honestly, why waste a perfectly good opportunity? 😂

Once that important matter was taken care of, I can already imagine her looking at me and saying, “Now take me to the park. And please don’t make the mistake of thinking I’m going there to walk. I’m going in your lap.”

Once we reached the park, though, she would suddenly become very independent. She would run around, explore everything, follow whatever caught her attention and do exactly what she wanted. And if we tried to control her, she would probably look at us as if to say, I was perfectly fine until you got involved. 😂

Then, once we were back home, it would be time for hide-and-seek. The rule is simple: we hide, Kiwi finds us. And somehow, she always looks so pleased when she finds us, as if she has just cracked a case that had the entire family fooled.

Her brothers would have one little rule to follow: stay away from Mumma. She may love them dearly, but apparently, loving your brothers and sharing your Mumma with them are two entirely different things. 🤭

And going anywhere without her? Not happening.

Wherever we go, Kiwi is coming along. She doesn’t need an invitation, a plan or even an explanation. If her people are going somewhere, she has already decided she is going too.

I sometimes wonder what made her so certain that the entire world revolves around her.

    Then I look at her.

And realise she probably has a point. 🤭

Because maybe she isn’t spoiled at all.

Maybe she has simply mastered the art of being so ridiculously cute that saying no to her feels like a personal attack.

And that, I suspect, is how a tiny dog becomes the unquestioned princess of an entire household. 👑🐾🤍🦋
