If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

**I’D STILL PICK THE UPGRADED ME**
.
If I could be someone else for a day,
honestly—
why borrow anyone else’s chaos
when my own evolution is already iconic?
.
I’d choose Me 2.0 —
the version with fewer meltdowns
and better brain Wi-Fi.
The me who eats chocolate on impulse
and refuses to feel guilty about joy.
.
The me with built-in auto-replies like:
“Not today, darling.
My peace is running on premium mode.”
.
A me with a radar
that detects energy vampires
from two emotional miles away.
.
The version of me
who doesn’t argue with the bathroom mirror—
just lifts an eyebrow and says,
“You’re doing amazing.
Stop underestimating your own sparkle.”
.
A me with
better boundaries,
cleaner eyeliner,
and a much smarter list of people
whose opinions are allowed to land.
.
A me who knows
when to raise the sarcasm
and when to raise the silence.
The Nihshabd version—
just with a software update.
.
A me who says
“I deserve softness”
without whispering it.
A me who dances
like people are watching—
and still doesn’t care.
.
If I could be someone else for a day,
I’d pick the woman I’m already becoming:
sharper, softer, louder, quieter—
all in the right places.
.
Because honestly?
Why be someone else…
when the next version of me
is already legendary in the making?

Amazing reply 👏
Thank you! So glad you felt that. 🤍✨
Yes BROSL,
You have correctly chosen you on yourself !
It’s always better to choose safe rather elf
Life is endangered not by pollution or reason
But by our so called correct choice of Mann
Mankarnika mesmerised me and also Kanha
Life’s small joys sacrificed on those kahaniya
We wrote with fantasies of the other part
So you are right to choose you, great art
🌹
So beautifully expressed… you added another layer to the thought. Grateful for this.🙏🏻🤍✨
You are welcome 😊
Have I?
It’s your kindness !
I’m Marathi, when we consider ourselves not up to the mark at which next speaker pegs you, higher than your worth (according to you), we modestly decline such compliment saying
“Oh, how it can be so, how it can be so?” ( कसचं कसचं)
Like that we say.
I am replying elaborately in order that other curious readers, best writers also should know this.
🌸
That’s nice to know 😊 But my words were just honest. When something touches the heart, appreciation flows naturally.🤍✨
Good 👍
Thank you 🤍✨
Bold, witty, and beautifully self-aware.
“I’d Still Pick Me 2.0” feels like self-love without apology confident, evolved, and emotionally upgraded. The blend of humor, boundaries, and softness makes it empowering yet relatable.
An ode to becoming not someone else but your highest self.
Reading this made me smile 😊 Thank you Vijay ji for understanding the heart behind it🤍✨
Your version 2.0 is already inside you….you can just have to be…😉👍
This means a lot. Trying to be better every day 😊🤍✨
Beautiful imagery in this piece too. I’m with you that the best comparison should be with ourselves- to be a better version of the self. Well done 👍💫💗
Thank you so much KK 🤍✨It means a lot that it spoke to you. Yes, the most beautiful comparison is always with ourselves growing, evolving, and shining a little brighter each day. ✨🤍
Well said! And it took me many years to figure this out. But we got there in the end 🙌🏽
So beautifully said 🤍 Some lessons take years… but the ones we discover on our own stay forever. Proud of us for getting there, in our own time. 🙌🏽✨
