Do you set personal goals for yourself?
Personal Goals for Women: Dreams Beyond the To-Do List 😂
Do you set personal goals for yourself? I do! My goals include pursuing creative dreams, building a happy home, and making time for myself. Although, sometimes my goals and I have a communication problem. I make a beautiful plan, and life responds with, “That’s cute. Now, please deal with this laundry.” 😂
For women, personal goals can mean different things at different stages of life. Mine? Well, they depend on which of my four personalities is currently in charge!
🎨 Personal Goals as an Illustrator: Let My Art Speak!
I dream of becoming an illustrator whose work makes people pause and ask, “Wow, who created this?” I want my digital fashion illustrations to be recognised, appreciated, and remembered. I want to experiment, create beautiful art, and develop a style that feels unmistakably mine. A little fame wouldn’t hurt either! 😂 And yes, I’d love to turn my creativity into a steady source of income. After all, even a passionate artist has electricity bills to pay!
✍️ Personal Goals as a Writer: Words That Find Their Way to People
I want to grow Nihshabd into a space where my words travel far beyond my little corner of the internet. I dream of becoming a well-known writer whose stories make people laugh, think, and sometimes whisper, “That’s exactly how I feel!” If my writing makes someone feel understood, that’s precious. If it brings recognition and income, even better. Let’s not pretend writers survive on metaphors alone!
🏡 Personal Goals as a Homemaker: A Home Full of Life
I want to be a happy, cheerful homemaker who makes a house feel like home. A place filled with laughter, warmth, familiar smells from the kitchen, silly conversations, and occasional family chaos. I want my family to feel loved, comfortable, and free to be themselves. Because a happy home isn’t about spotless floors; it’s about the people who fill it with life. Though, if everyone could occasionally locate their own missing socks, domestic bliss would reach a whole new level! 😂
❤️ Personal Growth Goals as a Woman: Why Should Dreams Have an Expiry Date?
I want to keep surprising myself. I want to try things I’ve never tried, visit places I’ve only imagined, dress up just because I feel like it, and occasionally do absolutely nothing without preparing a defence for my decision. 😂
I want to be financially independent enough to make choices without calculating the cost of every little dream. I want to laugh loudly, have opinions of my own, make mistakes without writing an apology letter to the universe, and enjoy life without constantly wondering whether I’m being productive enough.
Not all personal goals involve promotions, awards, or impressive achievements. Sometimes, they’re about having the courage to pursue a dream simply because it matters to you. My personal growth goals include having the courage to pursue my own dreams and making sure I don’t become so busy fulfilling everyone’s expectations that I forget my own.
After all, being a woman is not just about being a wonderful artist, a successful writer, a loving homemaker, or someone’s everything. It’s also about being my own person.
I want to keep becoming someone I’m excited to wake up as. And no, I don’t think that’s asking for too much!
One Woman, Many Dreams ❤️
Setting personal goals shouldn’t feel like adding another list of chores to an already busy life. It’s about making room for the things that make us feel alive. And balancing family and personal goals doesn’t mean choosing one over the other; sometimes, it simply means remembering that we deserve a place on our own priority list, too.
My biggest goal? To care for the people I love, create things I’m proud of, and build a life in which I don’t have to forget myself along the way.
And if I manage to finish my coffee while it’s still hot, consider that a bonus achievement! 😂☕
