Turns Out, I’m Stuck Being Me. 😏

Turns Out, I’m Stuck Being Me – a woman imagining switching lives with fictional characters

If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose?

I spent almost the entire day trying to answer this question:

“If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose?”

Simple question, right?

Apparently not for me. 😪

I tried. Oh, I really tried.

For a while, I was Hermione.
Then I thought, Why not Enola Holmes? A little detective work could be fun.

Then Emily showed up.
Mia got her turn.
And after all this identity crisis, I finally decided on Mrs. Harris.

Done. Final answer.

Except… it wasn’t.

Because every time I imagined actually waking up as one of them, my brain went:

“Hmm… nice character. But I don’t think we’re her.”

And there I was again. Me.

Apparently, switching lives with a fictional character is much easier to imagine than actually doing. 😂

I can admire fictional characters, borrow their wardrobes, envy their adventures, appreciate their magic and even temporarily redesign my entire personality…

But actually switching lives?

Nope. My personality has rejected the application. 😂

So, after spending an unreasonable amount of time trying to squeeze myself into someone else’s fictional life, I have finally accepted the truth:

I am apparently too much myself to become anyone else.

Sorry, Hermione.
Sorry, Enola.
Sorry, Emily, Mia and Mrs. Harris.

I tried.

I failed.

And honestly?

After all that drama, I think I’ll just keep my own life. ❤️

Although… if someone offers me Mrs. Harris’s wardrobe, I may reconsider. 😏

Now I want to know—if you could borrow someone else’s fictional life for a week, who would you become? ✨

And please tell me you’d actually choose someone…

because I clearly spent an entire day choosing everyone except myself. 😂

Maybe you’ll have better luck than I did. 🤍🦋

Ya Reading it was so much fun and I truly understand pick a single character might be difficult to choose 😂but being yourself and understand or accept yourself is biggest success in lifei hope you’ll get whatever you want 🤞🌻

Rajeshwari, I had such fun reading this! 😂 Sometimes choosing a fictional character is harder than living our own life.

I loved the way you moved from Hermione to Enola, Emily, Mia, and finally Mrs. Harris—only to discover that your own personality had already rejected every application! 😄

Very rightly expressed, one should remain own self and let someone write a novel or whatever covering that character as far as he or she can understand.

Oh, it’s impossible to choose just one character when there are so many stories to fall in love with, and so many pieces of us we see in all these characters! And the wardrobe? I’d take a stroll through quite a few fictional worlds! 😂 Lovely post, Rajeshwari!

After going through so many choices, I think you were bound to come back to yourself! And yes, I can understand the Mrs. Harris wardrobe temptation. 😄

The greatest adventure lies not in becoming someone else, but in awakening to the truth of our own being. True freedom begins when we embrace our uniqueness and rest in the wisdom of the Self. 🙏

At the end of the day we are unique and we have to embrace it. We are own self, isn’t it…

    Oscar Wilde had it right!

Ah this is where we learn to be ourselves and be our own hero. 🙂

Exactly! 😊 Maybe after trying on everyone else’s lives, we realise that our own fits us best. 🤍And yes, being our own hero sounds pretty good too. 🦋✨

We learn that we can’t be anyone else but ourselves… and it’s a beautiful thing

I love Mrs. Harris and Mia (La La Land) too!

Oh, we have the same taste! 😄🤍 Mrs. Harris has such a warm, gentle charm, and Mia has that lovely mix of dreams, hope and determination. Two very different characters, but both so easy to root for. 🦋✨
