Okay, Berk. Where Do I Sign Up? ๐Ÿ‰

Which fictional world would be the most fun to vacation in?

Take Me to Berk. I Have a Dragon to Catch. ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ˜‚

If I could vacation in any fictional world, I think Iโ€™d pick Berk from How to Train Your Dragon.

Becauseโ€ฆ DRAGONS.

Imagine having one waiting outside your house and knowing that instead of getting into a car, you can just climb on and fly away.

Where?

No idea.

Thatโ€™s the best part. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Maybe over the mountains. Maybe across the sea. Maybe somewhere Iโ€™ve never even heard of.

Iโ€™d probably keep saying, โ€œLetโ€™s just go a little further.โ€

And then a little further.

And then, somehow, weโ€™d be on the other side of the world.

Iโ€™d want to fly when itโ€™s windy, fly when itโ€™s raining, fly through the clouds, race another dragon, find ridiculous little islands and watch the world from above.

And yes, Iโ€™d absolutely name my dragon something dramatic and then spend half my vacation talking to it as if it understands every word.

Actuallyโ€ฆ it probably would.

Itโ€™s a dragon. ๐Ÿ˜‚

The thought of being able to simply take off whenever I feel like it sounds ridiculously exciting to me.

No traffic. No tickets. No packing half your house for a trip.

Just you, your dragon and a whole world underneath you.

Okay, Berk. Where do I sign up? ๐Ÿ‰

So, whatโ€™s your fictional escape plan? And please make it interestingโ€”I want to steal some ideas. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Until The Next Whisper,

I want to fly on top of a dragon too. I just love the feeling of it. Feeling in air, soaring through the blue skies……that feeling would be so amazing, it gives me goosebumps…..

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Oh yes! ๐Ÿ˜„ Just imagine the wind, the endless sky, and a dragon beneath youโ€ฆ goosebumps already! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿค

  2. Vijay Srivastava Avatar

What a delightful escape! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Berk sounds less like a vacation destination and more like the ultimate invitation to rediscover the childlike joy of freedom and wonder.

The most beautiful part is not even the dragon it is the thought of simply taking off without knowing exactly where the journey will lead. Perhaps that is what makes an adventure truly memorable: when curiosity becomes the compass and the destination is allowed to remain a mystery.

And yesโ€ฆ โ€œjust a little furtherโ€ is probably how one ends up discovering an entirely new world! ๐Ÿ˜„

A wonderfully imaginative read, Rajeshwari. Keep flying and may your dragon always know the way home.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Thank you so much Vijay ji! ๐Ÿค I think youโ€™ve captured exactly what I wanted to say the joy is not really knowing where youโ€™re going, but simply enjoying the ride. And yes, Iโ€™ll make sure my dragon remembers the way home! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‰

This was such a fun read! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‰ Berk sounds like the perfect vacationโ€”who wouldnโ€™t want to fly away on a dragon? โค๏ธ

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Haha, exactly Maha! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค A dragon ride over Berk would be the perfect kind of escape no traffic, no itinerary, just blue skies and adventure! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ’™

You have a great imagination, interesting post.โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹

Thank you so much Nageshwar ji! ๐Ÿค I think imagination makes even an ordinary day a little more magical. ๐Ÿฆ‹โœจ

  5. SRIKANTH Avatar

I love this! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ˜‚ The idea of just taking off with no traffic, no packing, and no itinerary is 100% the ultimate freedom. I can literally picture you yelling “Let’s just go a little further!” while Toothless (or your own dramatic dragon) just rolls his eyes and sighs at you.

Since I have to make it interesting for you to steal ideas, here are my top 3 fictional escape plans:

    1. The Shire (Lord of the Rings): I’d skip the epic quest part and just move into a Hobbit hole. Endless breakfasts, second breakfasts, pints at the Green Dragon, and zero stress about the outside world. My escape plan is to basically hibernate in a meadow with a book.
    2. The Great Hall (Hogwarts): No magic lessons neededโ€”I just want to live in a castle where the ceiling changes with the weather, and the food magically appears on the table. Plus, I’d spend my days riding a Hippogriff over the Black Lake instead of dealing with real-world Mondays.
    3. The Star Wars Galaxy (specifically Naboo): Fly a sleek Naboo starfighter through the canyons, visit the Gungan city, and live in a palace with incredible scenery and no humidity.

But honestly? Your dragon plan is the best. Sign me up for Berk, too!

“Rajeshwari, you have a gift for painting a picture with words! I could feel the wind in my hair just reading this. Let’s plan our trip to Berk togetherโ€”I’ll bring the snacks, you bring the dragon!” ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Srikanth ji, this comment genuinely made me smile! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค I love how you didnโ€™t just read my post, you actually joined me on the dragon ride and then came back with three completely different escape plans of your own.

The Shire sounds dangerously comfortable, Hogwarts sounds magical, and Naboo sounds absolutely dreamy. ๐Ÿ˜„ But Iโ€™m still taking you to Berk. I can already imagine us flying around, shouting โ€œjust a little furtherโ€ and completely forgetting that we ever had a return plan! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ˜‚

And honestly, your last line was the sweetest part. You bring the snacks, Iโ€™ll bring the dragon and between the two of us, Iโ€™m sure weโ€™ll find somewhere worth getting lost in. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‰

      1. SRIKANTH Avatar

Rajeshwari, youโ€™ve officially turned my comment into a whole adventure novel and Iโ€™m here for it! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ‰

The way you painted that pictureโ€”flying over Berk, shouting โ€˜just a little furtherโ€™ with zero sense of directionโ€”honestly sounds like the kind of chaos Iโ€™d sign up for again and again. And yes, Iโ€™ll bring extra snacks because clearly, weโ€™re going to need them for all the detours weโ€™ll definitely take. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฟ

But also, thank youโ€”for seeing the joy behind the words and for matching that energy so perfectly. Itโ€™s not every day you find someone who not only gets the dragon metaphor but also brings their own map of fictional worlds to the table. Youโ€™re a gem, and Iโ€™m so glad our paths crossed in this little corner of the internet. ๐Ÿค

So dealโ€”you bring the dragon, Iโ€™ll bring the snacks (and maybe a compass, just in case). Letโ€™s get wonderfully lost together. ๐Ÿ‰โœจ

      2. nihshabdblog Avatar

Oh, now youโ€™ve made this little dragon adventure even more special! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค I think the compass is a very wise addition, although I have a feeling weโ€™ll completely ignore it once weโ€™re up in the sky. ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ˜„

And thank you for such a lovely comment. Itโ€™s rare to come across someone who plays along with a silly little thought and turns it into something so much more fun. Iโ€™m so glad our paths crossed here too. ๐Ÿค

So yes, snacks, compass and dragon.. all packed! Now letโ€™s get wonderfully lost and see where the story takes us. โœจ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿค

      3. SRIKANTH Avatar

HI Rajeshwari ๐Ÿ‘‹ hereโ€™s a story in continuation to the fantasy word you love to visit โ€ฆ. Flying on a dragonโ€ฆ

The wind tasted of frost and freedom. You tightened your grip on the dragonโ€™s scales, the compass in your pocket warm but utterly forgotten. The little brass needle spun in lazy circles, useless against the pull of the mountains aheadโ€”mountains that werenโ€™t on any map, because they only appeared when you weren’t looking for them.

The dragonโ€”whom youโ€™d named Orion after the star-scatter on his browโ€”banked left, chasing a ribbon of cloud that shimmered like liquid pearl. Below, the world blurred into patchwork greens and golds, villages no bigger than your thumbnail, rivers like silver threads dropped by a careless giant.

โ€œWhere are we going?โ€ you shouted over the rush of wind.

Orion rumbled, a sound like distant thunder. โ€œSomewhere the compass canโ€™t find.โ€

And he wasnโ€™t wrong. You passed through a curtain of mist and emerged into a sky below a skyโ€”a second heaven, where islands floated upside-down, their roots dangling like ancient chandeliers, and constellations swam through the air like luminous koi. A castle of bone-white coral drifted past, its towers singing in a language you almost understood.

You laughed, pulling a handful of honeyed nuts from your pack, offering one to Orion. He snapped it up with surprising delicacy, and his eyeโ€”the colour of amber and old fireโ€”glinted with something like affection.

โ€œYou know,โ€ you said, crumbs on your chin, โ€œI think this is better than any destination.โ€

Orionโ€™s wings caught a thermal, and you soared higher still. โ€œThatโ€™s because there isnโ€™t one,โ€ he murmured. โ€œThe story is the flight.โ€

And as the second sun began to set in a wash of violet and rose, painting the floating islands in shades of dream, you tucked the compass back into your pocketโ€”unread, unloved, utterly unnecessary.

Because you were already exactly where you were meant to be.

Lost in the best possible way. โœจ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿค

      4. nihshabdblog Avatar

Oh my God, Srikanth ji, you actually wrote a whole adventure for me!๐Ÿค I started reading and completely forgot that this was supposed to be a reply to my little โ€œWhere do I sign up?โ€ post. You have taken me much farther than Berk now! ๐Ÿ‰โœจ

And Orionโ€ฆ what a lovely name for my dragon. I think Iโ€™m already a little in love with him. ๐Ÿ˜„ The floating islands, the second sky, the little brass compass going completely useless it was all so beautifully imagined. But the line โ€œThe story is the flightโ€ really stayed with me. ๐Ÿค

I think Iโ€™ll keep the compass tucked away and just enjoy the ride. After all, when the journey is this magical, who really needs to know where weโ€™re going? ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿค

Honestly, Srikanth ji, Iโ€™m short of words to express how much I loved this. Thank you so much from the heart for writing something so beautiful and making my little dragon dream feel so real. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‰โœจ

With a dragon as your ride, who needs a travel itinerary? Just point to the sky and let the adventure decide the destination. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Exactly! ๐Ÿ˜„ No itinerary, no plans just point to the sky and let the dragon decide where we end up! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿค

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Haha, exactly! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Imagine having a dragon waiting outside the house every morning no traffic, no plans, just climb on and fly wherever the day takes you! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿค That would be the kind of freedom Iโ€™d happily get used to.โœจ

  8. Nusrat Khan Avatar

I am scared of riding a dragon,so will bring Aladin’s carpet and both of us will go ‘ a little further’.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Oh yes, Nusrat, the carpet is definitely a better idea! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค Weโ€™ll both hop on Aladdinโ€™s carpet and fly away no traffic, no packing, no itinerary. Just one important thingโ€ฆ weโ€™ll have to figure out the food situation before we take off! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ•โœจ

      1. Nusrat Khan Avatar

Food is not a problem. We can land anywhere and eat at restaurants and will be guests of our blogger friends all over the world.๐Ÿ˜‚

Great imagination. But take care you may also feel Hungary on the way so take a route may be with trees having tasty foods.
And in Indian environment it can be named Garud.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Haha, absolutely! ๐Ÿ˜‚ We definitely need a food route an adventure is no fun on an empty stomach! And I love the idea of calling it Garuda in the Indian version. Now Iโ€™m imagining us flying through the sky, stopping at every tree that looks remotely tasty! ๐Ÿ˜„
