Low Likes, High Life

How do you use social media?

How do I use social media?

.

Honestly?🤍
It used to feel like a party…🎉
now it feels like background noise.🌙

.

There was a time I’d post anything
random thoughts, small joys, silly moments…😄✨
like life was meant to be shared in real time.📲

.

Then came the phase where I showed up everywhere
reels, shorts, LinkedIn…💼📸
as if consistency was a personality trait 😄
as if being visible meant being valuable.👀

.

And now?

.

Now I open the app…
scroll a little…📱
and quietly leave.🚶‍♀️

.

No urge to post.
No need to explain.
No pressure to be seen.🌿

.

Because somewhere along the way,
I realized
the best parts of my life
don’t even make it to my camera roll anymore.📷❌

They just… stay with me.🤍

.

Unposted.
Unannounced.
Unapologetically mine.✨

.

Funny how it changed
I didn’t lose interest in social media…
I just fell in love with my real life a little more 💛

.

And that kind of love?
It doesn’t ask for an audience. 😉

.

A warm sunset scene with a handwritten note reading “Low Likes, High Life” and “Nihshabd,” beside a coffee cup and journal reflecting a calm, private moment.
Some moments are too beautiful to be posted..they’re meant to be lived. 🤍✨

This hit deep Rajeshwari . 🤍

You didn’t just describe how we use social media — you captured how we outgrow it. That shift from sharing everything to cherishing everything in silence? That’s not losing interest… that’s gaining peace. 🌿

The way you write makes the ordinary feel sacred. And honestly? Your real life sounds beautiful — not because of what you post, but because of how you feel it. ✨

Keep staying unapologetically yours. The world needs more souls like you who choose presence over performance. 😌💛

This means so much Srikanth ji🤍 The way you understood this… it feels really special.
That quiet shift isn’t loud, but it changes everything and I’m just learning to sit with it, slowly 🌿✨Thank you for seeing it so beautifully ✨💛

This is a very reflective and emotionally honest piece—it captures a shift many people quietly experience but rarely put into words this clearly.

What stands out first is the tone progression. You begin with energy and openness—social media as a “party”—and gradually move into observation, fatigue, and finally calm detachment. That transition feels natural, not forced, which makes it relatable rather than philosophical for its own sake.

Thank you so much for reading it this way… it really means a lot. It wasn’t something I planned to write, just something I’ve been quietly feeling for a while. That shift from noise to a little more stillness has been slow, but very real.

      1. vermavkv Avatar

That makes it even more special. 🌿

The pieces that come from a quiet, lived feeling often carry the most truth—and that’s exactly what comes through here. You can sense that it wasn’t forced or overthought, just something that found its way onto the page when it was ready.

Thank you Verma ji… this means more than I can put into words 🙂 really glad it found a place with you.🤍✨

Beautifully crafted 😍 I love how you referred social media as a party in the opening paragraph! 👍

Me too, I open social media a little. I scroll a bit, look at stories (which are mostly “happy birthday” to friends and friends of friends), reply to direct messages, then leave quietly. You’ve discovered my way of using social media.

Instagram. Does it ring a bell?

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Haha, Instagram… of course it rings a bell 😄 Seems like we follow the same pattern just a quick visit, a little catching up, and then back to real life without making too much noise🤍✨

Thank you so much… this really means a lot 🤍
When I started, I wasn’t sure if anyone would read my blogs, so messages like yours make me really happy and keep me motivated 😊🤍✨

Nice answer ji….. people are living in social media instead of living in real life….we have to live in real life….

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

You’re right Girish ji… social media is just a small part, real life is where the real stories happen.🤍✨

    Rajeshwari this felt very familiar.
That shift from sharing everything to just quietly living it… I think a lot of us are there now but don’t say it out loud.
“Low likes, high life” sums it up so well 😄
Also liked how you didn’t make it sound like a loss, it actually feels like an upgrade.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Thank you so much Vidisha🤍 I’m really glad it felt familiar. I think many of us reach this space quietly, without really saying it out loud. And yes, it never felt like a loss to me more like an upgrade. ‘Low likes, high life’ just felt like the most honest way to put it 😊

Absolutely…social media can be overwhelming in the beginning, intimidating in due course of time and disposable when you realise your true worth ….Real is beautiful ❤️

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

So beautifully put… it’s a journey from noise to clarity, and somewhere along the way, we learn that what’s real will always matter more than what’s seen 🤍✨

    Beautifully expressed…
Sometimes the quiet, unshared moments hold the deepest meaning.

I smiled reading this because it’s exactly how it feels now. Not quitting social media, just not letting it define anything anymore. Quiet life

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Exactly Maha… connected, yet not defined by it there’s a quiet peace in that 🌿✨
