What bores you?
✨ What Bores Me — More Than Anything
(A Nihshabd Blog)
.
What bores me?
Honestly… not the usual stuff.
Not long queues.
Not slow days.
Not silent afternoons.
Not even people who talk too much.
.
I get bored of something else —
something quieter.
.
I get bored of pretending.
Of acting fine when I am not.
Of smiling because it’s expected.
Of listening to conversations that have
a lot of noise
but no soul.
.
I get bored of people
who speak without saying anything
and never listen when you finally do.
.
I get bored of shallow connections —
the “How are you?”
without the “Tell me what’s really going on.”
.
I get bored of the energy
that asks me to shrink
to make someone else comfortable.
.
I get bored of those moments
where I have to hide
the loudest parts of me
just to fit in.
.
What bores me the most?
Living a life that doesn’t feel like mine.
Talking just to fill the silence.
Saying “yes” when my heart whispers “no.”
Showing up for people
who never show up for me.
.
Give me real conversations.
Give me messy emotions.
Give me the truth, even if it’s uncomfortable.
Give me people who feel deeply,
who pause,
who ask,
who care.
.
I don’t get bored of life.
I get bored of half-lived life.
.
Because I don’t want days
that look perfect from the outside
but feel empty from the inside.
.
I want a life that’s honest.
Raw.
Soft.
Loud.
Quiet.
Whatever it needs to be —
as long as it’s real.
.
And anything less than that…
bores me.

This is deeply moving and beautifully honest. Your words capture a quiet truth that many feel but rarely express—the exhaustion that comes not from noise or chaos, but from inauthenticity and emotional pretense. The gentle rhythm and simplicity of your lines give the piece a reflective, almost meditative quality, making each thought land with real weight. It’s raw, relatable, and courageously sincere—a piece that doesn’t just speak, it resonates.
I truly appreciate your kind and thoughtful words 💛✨ It means so much to know the piece could connect with you on such a real and reflective level.🤍✨
You’re most welcome 💛✨
It truly makes me happy to know my words resonated with you. When writing comes from a genuine place of reflection and honesty—as yours clearly does—it naturally creates a connection, and I’m grateful I could be part of that exchange. 🤍
It beautifully captures the exhaustion of superficial living and the longing for authenticity. The simplicity of the language makes the emotion feel raw and real.
Thank you so much… it means a lot that the honesty came through. I was just trying to give a voice to that quiet tiredness we all carry while searching for something real. Your words truly warmed my heart. 🤍✨
Beautifully expressed emotions.
I agree–Pretending and living an artificial life does get boring.
We should try to be ‘real’ if we really want to be happy.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Chitrangada … I feel the same. Living behind masks can get exhausting after a while — there’s a quiet relief in just being real. I’m so glad this spoke to you. 🤍
What a heartfelt post nihshab. Yes like you said being real is the best thing anyone can do for themselves and not pretending and living a fake life.
Thank you so much… I’m really glad this resonated with you. Being real is honestly the kindest thing we can do for ourselves. Pretending gets exhausting after a point, but authenticity has its own quiet peace.🤍✨
I’m Rajeshwari and Nihshabd is my little blog space where I try to give words to the unspoken. 🤍✨
So well expressed! View that provoke our thoughts…!
Thank you so much! 😊 Glad it could gently stir a few thoughts and feelings. ✨
Beautifully expressed
Thank you so much! 💛 It means a lot to hear that.🤍✨
Amazing 😍
Yay! That makes me happy 😄💖
Very well written!
I am glad you like it 🤍✨
This is so beautifully honest. You’ve put words to something I’ve felt but couldn’t quite name. “Half-lived life” — that hits deep. Thank you for this reminder to choose real over comfortable. 💛
So glad it resonated with you Srikanth ji. 💛 Sometimes the hardest choice is choosing what’s real over what feels easy — thank you for reading so deeply and connecting with it.🤍✨
A moving piece! I loved especially-
I don’t get bored of life.
I get bored of half-lived life.✨✨✨
Thank you so much KK … I’m really glad that line spoke to you.
It’s one of those truths we all feel but rarely say out loud. 🤍✨
So true! Welcome 💫
