Advice to my younger self – a younger woman and her wiser self reflecting on life lessons

If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?

If I Could Go Back in Time and Give My Younger Self Advice…

Advice to my younger self is something I would love to share if I could travel back in time. I’d take my younger self out for a cup of coffee and give her a few funny but useful life lessons about kindness, setting boundaries, and learning to say no. After all, life is complicated enough without volunteering for extra drama! šŸ˜‚

Then I would share a few life lessons with her.

First, stop being too nice. Being kind is wonderful, but please don’t run a free five-star emotional support service for people who wouldn’t even offer you a glass of water when you’re thirsty! Not everyone deserves your time, energy, and endless second chances.

Learn to say NO. It’s a complete sentence, not a government application requiring three signatures and an explanation.

Stop worrying about getting everything right. Life doesn’t come with a user manual, and frankly, most of us are figuring it out while pretending we know what we’re doing.

Take chances, learn new things, laugh at your mistakes, and don’t postpone happiness until everything is perfect. That day might be stuck in traffic!

And finally, I’d tell her, ā€œBe kind, but keep your boundaries stronger than your Wi-Fi password. Not everyone deserves access!ā€

Oh, and sunscreen! Because while wisdom takes time, sun damage is remarkably efficient. šŸ˜‚

Now tell me, if you could travel back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?

.

Until The Next Whisper,

    Good evening, Rajeshwari! ā˜€ļø

You’re right, we need to stop worrying too much about getting everything right, because perfection can be exhausting. Also, we can’t satisfy everyone.

    Have a wonderful Sunday! ā˜ŗļø

What a wonderful mix of humour and wisdom! 😊 If I could advise my younger self, I would say, ā€œDon’t spend your life worrying about tomorrow or pleasing everyone. Be grateful for today, cherish your loved ones, protect your peace, and never stop learning.ā€ Life has taught me that kindness is a strength, but self-respect and boundaries are equally important.

A profound reminder that kindness without boundaries becomes self-neglect, and wisdom lies in knowing where compassion must end and self-respect must begin. Truly, life’s greatest lessons are not about pleasing everyone, but about remaining true to oneself.

_If someone talks you down, talk yourself up! Don’t let other people bring you down. Don’t be afraid to be who you are; if there are people who won’t accept you, then let them go. If you don’t challenge yourself, you will never realize what you can achieve._

_Learn how to be independent of people and situations; in the end, you need to be there for yourself. Challenges will come but how you respond to them defines your character and the quality of your personality._

_Remember, life will not wait for you, decide what you want and go for it. You can never grow above the level of your thought life; watch the depth of your thoughts, for as you think so are you. The world around us takes up the properties of our thoughts and words. Through our thoughts and words, we can influence how the world around us takes form._
