Advice to My Younger Self: Funny Life Lessons | Nihshabd

    Daily writing prompt
If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?

If I Could Go Back in Time and Give My Younger Self Advice…

Advice to my younger self is something I would love to share if I could travel back in time. I’d take my younger self out for a cup of coffee and give her a few funny but useful life lessons about kindness, setting boundaries, and learning to say no. After all, life is complicated enough without volunteering for extra drama! 😂

Then I would share a few life lessons with her.

First, stop being too nice. Being kind is wonderful, but please don’t run a free five-star emotional support service for people who wouldn’t even offer you a glass of water when you’re thirsty! Not everyone deserves your time, energy, and endless second chances.

Learn to say NO. It’s a complete sentence, not a government application requiring three signatures and an explanation.

Stop worrying about getting everything right. Life doesn’t come with a user manual, and frankly, most of us are figuring it out while pretending we know what we’re doing.

Take chances, learn new things, laugh at your mistakes, and don’t postpone happiness until everything is perfect. That day might be stuck in traffic!

And finally, I’d tell her, “Be kind, but keep your boundaries stronger than your Wi-Fi password. Not everyone deserves access!”

Oh, and sunscreen! Because while wisdom takes time, sun damage is remarkably efficient. 😂

Now tell me, if you could travel back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?

    .

Self Discovery Through Relationships: Life Lessons I’ve Learned

If you ask me which relationship has taught me the most about myself, I honestly wouldn’t know where to begin. For me, self discovery has happened slowly, through the people I have met and the relationships I have shared with them. Everyone I have met in my life has taught me something.

Every person has left a little piece of themselves with me. Some taught me patience, some confidence, some boundaries, some kindness, and some showed me what I should never repeat. And some simply taught me that not every little thing deserves my time and energy.

I have kept all these little lessons with me—not because I want to live in the past, but because if life ever takes me back to the same situation, I want them to remind me, “Wait… haven’t we been here before?” 😂

Life Lessons and Self Discovery Through Relationships  🦋

Life is short, and honestly, there are already enough real problems to deal with. So I have learned to appreciate the small things and let the little things go.

A cup of coffee made for me, a thoughtful message, a good conversation, a silly joke, or simply a peaceful evening—these little moments matter.

I have also learned to celebrate small moments. Not everything needs to be a big achievement to deserve a little happiness.

And kindness matters too. You never really know what someone else is going through, so if a little patience or a kind word can make someone’s day easier, why not?

Everyone I meet teaches me something. Some stay for years, some for a season, and some leave behind just one lesson.

And perhaps that is what makes relationships such an important part of self discovery.

What My Children Taught Me About Self Discovery 🦋

But if I have to choose one relationship that has taught me the most about myself, it would be my relationship with my children.

They gave me my childhood back.

They taught me patience, confidence, how to be more tech-savvy, and even turned me into a gamer. 😂 They have corrected my pronunciation more times than I care to admit. 😅

But one of the biggest things they taught me was to laugh loudly.

You know how girls are often told, “Don’t laugh so loudly. You’re a girl.”

    Well… I don’t listen anymore.

I laugh properly. Loudly. Without checking who is watching.

    And the funniest part?

My mother has also entered the same zone now. 😅

So between my children and my mother, I think the “girls should behave properly” department has officially lost the battle in our family. 😂

Finding Yourself Again Through Motherhood 🦋

After becoming a mother, somewhere along the way, I forgot that I was also a person outside of being a mother.

I had choices too. Dreams, likes, dislikes, silly little wishes and a life of my own.

When you’re busy taking care of everyone else, you sometimes forget to ask yourself, “What do I want?”

My children somehow helped me find that answer again.

They taught me to stand up for myself, live for myself, take time for myself and, most importantly, meet myself again.

They reminded me that being a mother doesn’t mean losing the woman you were before motherhood.

And that has been one of the most beautiful parts of my self discovery journey.

Self Love, Laughter and a Little Princess Treatment 🦋

And let’s not forget—there are three boys in my house, and one of them is my husband. 😂

So technically, I am the only girl in the house.

Which obviously means I get my share of princess treatment. 👑😂

And honestly, I am not complaining.

They tolerate my moods, listen to my nonsense, put up with my nakhre and somehow make everyday life a little more fun.

They have also taught me that self love doesn’t always have to be serious.

Sometimes it is taking an hour for yourself. Sometimes it is learning something new, laughing until your stomach hurts, enjoying your favourite things, or simply appreciating the little moments.

The Biggest Lesson in My Self Discovery Journey 🦋

When I look back, I realise that every relationship has added something to who I am today.

I have learned from the people who stayed, the people who left, the relationships that worked and the ones that didn’t.

But my children taught me something different.

They didn’t just teach me how to be a better mother.

They reminded me how to be me.

    I can still be silly.
    I can still have choices.
    I can still laugh loudly.
    I can still learn.
I can still make time for myself.

And perhaps that’s what makes relationships so special.

They don’t just teach you something about life. Sometimes, they quietly bring you back to yourself.

    What About You?

Which relationship has taught you the most about yourself?

Was there someone who helped you discover a part of yourself you had forgotten? I’d love to hear your story. 🤍

    Until The Next Whisper,

Finding Myself Again: My Significant Other Was Me | Nihshabd

    Daily writing prompt
How did you meet your significant other?

My Significant Other Was Me ✨

Finding myself again was never a planned journey. For years, I was busy being everything everyone needed me to be—a daughter, a wife, a mother, and a woman who always put others first. Somewhere between responsibilities and expectations, I forgot a small but important part of myself. Until one day, I finally met the person I had been searching for all along—me.

    They asked me,
“How did you meet your significant other?”

    I smiled.

Because my answer is a little unexpected.

    I didn’t meet her at a café.
    I didn’t find her in a crowd.
I didn’t recognise her in a first glance.

I met her after years of searching.

    She was there all along.

Hidden behind the woman who was always busy taking care of everyone else.

The daughter who learned to adjust.

The wife who tried to create a happy home.

The mother who remembered everyone’s needs before her own.

The woman who knew exactly how everyone liked their tea,
    what made everyone happy,
    and what everyone needed…

But sometimes forgot to ask herself—

    “What do I need?”

    She was always there.

But somewhere between responsibilities and expectations,
    her voice became softer.

Her dreams waited patiently in a corner.

    Her hobbies waited for “someday.”

Her wishes waited for “after everyone is settled.”

    And she kept telling herself—

    “Later.”

    Until one day, she stopped.

    Not because the world changed.

    But because she did.

She picked up the book she had left unfinished.

She listened to the song she loved.

She created something just because it made her happy.

She sat quietly without feeling guilty.

    And slowly…

she heard her own voice again.

The woman she had lost in the noise of everyday life
    was finding her way back.

    She was not selfish.

    She was not changing.

    She was simply returning home.

    To herself.

So, how did I meet my significant other?

I met her in the mirror after years of looking everywhere else.

    She was older.

    She was wiser.

She had scars, stories, and a thousand silent battles behind her smile.

    But she was beautiful.

Because she was finally free to be herself.

My significant other was never someone I had to find.

She was the woman I had been carrying inside me all along.

    And today…

    I choose her.

    Every single day. ❤️

    until the next whisper,

Women After 40: The Secret Garden Women Discover | Nihshabd

The Beautiful Secret Women Discover After 40

Have you noticed something strange about women after 40?

They start becoming suspiciously happy. 😄

Not the loud, “Look at me, I have finally figured out life” kind of happiness.

    Something softer.

A smile while holding a warm cup of coffee.
A little excitement after buying flowers for no special reason.
A sudden love for old songs that bring back memories hidden somewhere between yesterday and today.

    And you quietly wonder…

    “What happened to her?”

Did she find some secret treasure?

Did someone finally hand her a magical instruction manual called “How to stop overthinking everything”? 😄

Or did she discover something much more precious?

    Herself.

Because that is the beautiful secret many women after 40 slowly discover — happiness was never missing. It was simply waiting for her to notice it.

The Beautiful Shift Women After 40 Experience

For many years, a woman’s life is beautifully crowded.

She is the daughter who remembers family stories.

    The partner who supports dreams.

The mother who knows exactly where everything is kept — including things that disappeared only five minutes ago. 😄

Honestly, a woman’s memory deserves a special award.

She may forget why she entered a room…

but she will remember that someone mentioned six months ago that they liked a particular snack.

    That is not memory.

That is a premium subscription to the family’s internal database. 😄

But somewhere between caring for everyone, solving problems, and keeping life moving smoothly, she sometimes places herself on a “later” list.

    Later, I will rest.

Later, I will do something I love.

Later, I will spend time with myself.

And then comes a beautiful little shift.

    One day she asks:

“Why is my happiness always waiting for later?”

That is the moment something changes.

She starts understanding that taking care of herself is not selfish.

    It is necessary.

She does not need a special occasion to wear her favourite outfit.

She does not need permission to sit quietly with her thoughts.

She does not need a reason to enjoy a peaceful morning.

After years of being everyone’s safe place, she finally creates a safe place within herself.

The Little Joys Women After 40 Finally Discover

Women after 40 begin to notice magic in ordinary things.

A quiet cup of tea is no longer just tea.

It is a tiny pause button in a busy world.

A walk alone is not loneliness.

It is a conversation with herself.

An old song is not just music.

It is a letter from the younger version of her saying:

“Look, I am still here.” ❤️

    And the funniest part?

The world thinks she has changed.

But actually, she has just stopped carrying unnecessary noise.

The woman who once worried about every opinion now looks at unnecessary drama and thinks:

“Very interesting… but I have tea waiting.” 😄

    She still loves deeply.

    She still cares.

    She still remembers everyone’s needs.

But now, somewhere in that long list of people she takes care of…

    her own name finally appears.

Maybe that is the real magic of women after 40.

They do not lose their sparkle.

    They stop hiding it.

They become like a garden that was quietly blooming all along — with butterflies, little fireflies, forgotten dreams, and colours waiting to be noticed.

And one day, she sits in that garden and realizes:

    She was never lost.

She was simply busy helping everyone else find their way.

Now, she has finally found hers.

And here comes a curious question…When Did the Butterfly Finally Open Its Wings? 🦋

Do men also experience this beautiful transformation after 40?

    Maybe they do.

Maybe their happiness simply has a different address. 😄

Maybe it is finding the perfect chair for their favourite corner.

Maybe it is spending hours happily fixing something that was working perfectly fine.

Maybe it is talking about their favourite hobby with the excitement of a scientist presenting a groundbreaking discovery.

    Who knows?

Perhaps after 40, everyone discovers their own little garden.

Because growing older is not about becoming someone new.

It is about finally meeting the person who was quietly waiting inside us all along.

    Until the Next Whisper, 🦋💕

If I Had a Time Machine, I’d Tell My Younger Self This

If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?

If I had a time machine, I know exactly where I’d go.

Straight back to my younger self.

I’d find her, sit beside her for a while and say—

“Listen… you’re doing pretty damn well. So please don’t change too much. Stay exactly the way you are—curious, kind, slightly dramatic, a little stubborn, and wonderfully imperfect. You’ll figure things out along the way.”

I’d probably have to stop myself from giving her too many spoilers.
Because knowing me, I’d end up saying, “Oh, and definitely don’t do that…” 😄

    But no.

    I wouldn’t change her story.

I’d let her make the mistakes, take the wrong turns, laugh too loudly, care too much, start over, surprise herself and grow into whoever she is meant to become.

And just before jumping back into my time machine, I’d turn around and say—

“Keep going. You’re doing better than you think. And one day, the woman you become will look back at you and say… I am proud of you.” 🦋❤️

Now, if WordPress gives me a prompt tomorrow asking me to meet my future self for coffee, I’m officially charging for time-travel services. 😂

What Would You Tell Your Younger Self If You Had a Time Machine?

If you could step into a time machine and meet your younger self for just five minutes, what would you tell your younger self?

Would you give them advice, a warning, a hug, or simply say, “You’re doing just fine. Keep going.”?

Tell me in the comments. I’d genuinely love to know what your younger self needs to hear from you today. ❤️

Because sometimes, the person we most need to be proud of isn’t the person we’re becoming…

It’s the person who got us here. 🦋✨

    Where Time Still Sits✨

    Dear Teenage Me

  • Factory Closed After This Model

    Factory Closed After This Model

Factory Closed After This Model. That’s the thought that crossed my mind the other day.

“No one is you, and that’s your power.” ✨

    Limited edition, darling.

The factory saw the prototype and said,
“Yeah… let’s not risk making another one.” 🤭

Because who else can walk into a room with a purpose,
    forget the purpose,
    remember three unrelated things,
and somehow still leave feeling productive? 😂

Who else can be strong enough to handle everything,
yet get emotionally attached to a coffee mug, a random song, or a text they received three weeks ago? 🌸

    Who else says,
“I’m just going to buy one thing,”
and comes back with six unnecessary items and a story? 🛍️😌

    A little wise.
    A little dramatic.
    A little chaotic.
A little too invested in imaginary conversations.

    And somehow…
    all of that works. 💕

So don’t worry about fitting in.

    You’re not supposed to.

You’re the kind of person who laughs at serious moments,
    overthinks simple ones,
    makes ordinary days memorable,
and turns small things into beautiful stories.

Honestly, if there were two of you,
the universe would probably file a complaint. 😉✨🌷💫

Because being special isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about being the person who laughs too loudly at their own jokes,
    gets attached to little things,
    cares more than they admit,
and somehow turns ordinary moments into memories.

    A little messy.
    A little magical.
    A little impossible to explain.

And maybe that’s exactly why there’s only one of you.

    Not because you’re flawless…
but because your mix of chaos, kindness, courage, overthinking, warmth, and wonder
    has never existed before.

    And honestly?

The factory didn’t close after this model because it was perfect…

It closed because it knew it couldn’t make another one quite like you. 🌸✨💕

Maybe the factory closed after this model because originality was never meant to be mass-produced.

  • Stop Treating Yourself Like You’re Temporary

Stop Treating Yourself Like You’re Temporary

What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?

“Maybe the smallest improvement I can make is treating myself like someone I actually plan to keep for a long time.”

    .

    Which honestly means
drinking more water and having fewer imaginary arguments in the shower.

    .

Maybe it means sleeping on time
instead of collecting emotional damage and dark circles like limited edition souvenirs.

    .

Maybe it’s learning that I deserve the same softness
I so casually pour into everyone else
like warm chai on rainy evenings,
like fairy lights glowing quietly in a messy room,
like finding one stubborn little firefly still shining in the dark. ✨

    .

And perhaps healing isn’t some dramatic movie montage.
    Maybe it’s just:
buying yourself flowers for no reason,
    laughing at your own jokes,
    walking slowly after the rain,
letting your heart do tiny butterfly dances again,
and no longer treating your happiness like a guest who should leave early.

    .

    Because life feels strangely lighter
when you stop behaving like you’re temporary. 🌈

    .

Maybe that’s the real surprise adulthood never warned us about
that peace does not arrive with fireworks and background music.
    Sometimes it arrives quietly…
through clean bedsheets, a favorite song at midnight,
    unexpected compliments, sleepy smiles,
and those rare sparkling moments when your heart suddenly whispers,
“wait… life is actually beautiful today.” ✨

    .

And maybe loving yourself is not always deep or poetic.
    Maybe sometimes it’s wonderfully silly
    dancing badly while cooking,
watching the rain like it personally wrote a love letter to your soul,
    smiling at strangers,
    buying snacks as emotional support,
and protecting your inner light like a tiny jar full of fireflies glowing against the dark.

    .

    Because after everything,
I think we all deserve a life that feels a little softer…
    a little warmer…
a little more like butterflies, rainbows, laughter, rain-soaked evenings, and coming home to yourself again. 🦋🌧️✨

    .

  • Freedom Feels Like Being Yourself ✨

Freedom Feels Like Being Yourself ✨

What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom, for me, is very simple…
not having to ask anyone before choosing my own happiness. ✨

    .

Because the moment your happiness starts depending on people’s permission, moods, replies, opinions, timing, or “dekhenge”…
that’s not freedom anymore. That’s unpaid emotional internship.🫣😅

    .

Freedom is laughing without lowering my volume.
Going out without giving a TED Talk explanation.
Buying small things that heal my inner child.
Saying “no” without writing a 14-page apology letter in my head afterwards. 😂

    .

It’s being around people who feel light.😌
The kind who make life softer, funnier, easier.
Where friendship feels like chaos + comfort together.
    Where support comes naturally.
Where love doesn’t feel like surveillance. 🤍

    .

Freedom is not overthinking every tiny thing.
Not rereading messages like an FBI officer.
    Not sitting there wondering
    “Did I say too much?”
    “Did I sound weird?”
“Should I disappear forever now?” 😒

    .

It’s being carefree enough to romanticize little moments…
good coffee, random drives, late-night conversations, butterflies in the stomach, silly jokes, dramatic playlists, and people who make your heart smile quietly. 🦋✨

    .

    And honestly?
I think real freedom is when your heart finally feels safe being itself…
without performing, proving, shrinking, or begging to be understood.

    .

    Bas…
aise log mil jayein life mein
jinke saath you can be completely yourself —
witty, emotional, dramatic, strong, soft, annoying, funny… all at once 😭🤍
    then life already feels magical.

And maybe that’s the kind of freedom we all deserve…
a life where we don’t have to abandon ourselves
just to be loved by others.

  • ✨A Poem Drenched in Love & Light✨

    ✨A Poem Drenched in Love & Light✨

    .
