The Best Dreams Whisper

A young Indian woman sitting on a balcony at sunset with a notebook, a cup of tea, butterflies, and the words The Best Dreams Whisper.

What’s your biggest dream?

My biggest dream?

The best dreams whisper, don’t they?

.

People expect answers like…

“Travel the world.”
“Own a beach house.”
“Retire early.”

.

Meanwhile, I’m over here dreaming about finding my phone on the first try, remembering why I walked into the kitchen, and drinking one cup of hot chai before it turns into iced tea. The bar is surprisingly low these days. 😄

.

But jokes aside…

.

My biggest dream isn’t to become famous or collect followers like Pokémon cards.

.

It’s to build a life where my family feels safe, my heart feels light, and my creativity never packs its bags and leaves without notice.

.

I want to keep writing words that make someone smile on a difficult day, feel understood in a lonely moment, or simply pause and think, “Wait… did she just read my mind?”

.

Because if one stranger, somewhere in the world, finds comfort in something I wrote, that’s a far better reward than any trophy, trend, or algorithm.

.

After all, algorithms can be a lot like some relationships in life—they’ll put you on a pedestal when they need you, and the moment they don’t, they’ll quietly set you aside as if they never knew you at all.

.

I’ve also reached that age where my dream includes things that once sounded terribly boring:

A peaceful home.
Good health.
Laughter that comes easily.
Plants that refuse to die.
Wi-Fi that doesn’t buffer.
And knees that don’t negotiate every staircase.

.

Turns out adulthood has a very strange way of editing our bucket list.

.

So no…

.

My biggest dream isn’t to be known by everyone.

.

It’s to leave behind words that quietly stay with someone long after they’ve forgotten my name.

.

Because some dreams are loud.

The best ones? They whisper.

.

Until the next whisper…

I laugh about the WiFi. It should not be in trouble or else we can’t publish here 😁 great answer, Rajeshwari!

Haha, so true Hazel! 😄 The Wi-Fi deserves a little appreciation too it quietly keeps all our words connected. Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 🦋🤍

Well said about algorithm. There is something refreshing about a dream measured in peace rather than applause.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Thank you so much. 🤍 That means a lot to me. Somewhere along the way, I realised that applause fades, but the peace we carry within stays with us. I’m so glad that thought spoke to you. Thank you for reading so thoughtfully. 🦋✨

Yeah, absolutely! 😄 Sometimes, finding something exactly where you kept it feels like a dream come true. I, too, often forget why I walked into the kitchen or what I went to the balcony for. So yes, one of my simplest yet biggest dreams is to remember all those little things and never have to retrace my steps every five minutes! 😂

Hahaha… I’m so glad I’m not the only one! 😂 It’s amazing how our brains can hit the reset button between the living room and the kitchen. Here’s hoping we both remember why we walked into the room before we walk back out again! Thank you for the laugh and for sharing this I loved it. 🤍🦋

Rajeshwari, this resonates so deeply. That opening line about the best dreams whispering is absolutely perfect. 😄 And the “hot chai turning into iced tea” and “knees negotiating every staircase”—you’ve genuinely captured the quiet comedy of adulting with such warmth.

Your perspective on algorithms is beautifully worded and such a poignant truth. I love that your biggest dream isn’t a grand milestone, but the quiet, lasting impact of your words on a stranger’s heart. That’s not a low bar; that’s a beautiful legacy.

Here’s hoping your plants thrive, your Wi-Fi stays strong, and your knees give you a smooth negotiation every single time. Keep writing those whispered words—they’re definitely reaching the right people. 🌿☕

Srikanth ji, thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful and generous comment. 🤍 It genuinely made me smile. I love that you noticed the little details, because those are often my favourite parts to write. Knowing that the humour made you smile and the deeper message stayed with you means more than I can say. Your encouragement is such a gift, and comments like yours remind me why I keep showing up and writing from the heart. Thank you for always reading so generously and for cheering me on. Wishing you endless smiles, happy plants, reliable Wi-Fi, and many beautiful moments ahead! 🦋✨

    Good morning, Rajeshwari! ☀️

So true! 👍 A dream is measured with peace. You’re right about the algorithm; it sometimes comes against our favor. Beautifully written!

Have a nice day and a wonderful new week ahead ☺️

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Good evening! ☀️ Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so glad the thought resonated with you. Yes, algorithms may influence what gets seen, but they can never measure the peace a dream brings to our own hearts. Wishing you a beautiful day and a wonderful week ahead as well. Take care and keep smiling! 🤍😊

      1. Aptivi Avatar

You’re most welcome. ☺️ You’re absolutely right, algorithms can never measure the peace of a dream.

Thank you so much for your kind wishes! I’m smiling! You too, take care and keep smiling! 💜☺️

    Dear Rajeshwari,

Perhaps the deepest dreams are not those that seek to become someone, but those that quietly allow us to become more fully ourselves. Your words remind us that as life matures, our ambitions often become simpler not because we have settled for less, but because we have begun to recognize what truly matters.

To touch an unseen heart through a few sincere words is a form of silent service. Such gifts leave no headlines, yet they remain alive in human consciousness long after names and applause have faded.

In the end, fame belongs to memory, but love, kindness, and truth belong to eternity. The dreams that whisper are often the ones closest to the soul, for they ask not to be admired, only to be lived.

Beautifully written, as always. May your quiet whispers continue to become moments of light for countless hearts across the world.

    🙏

Thank you so much Vijay ji for such a profound and generous reflection. Your words touched me deeply because they gave voice to the very feeling that inspired this piece. I truly believe that the quietest dreams often shape us in the most meaningful ways, and if my words can offer even a moment of comfort, hope, or reflection to someone, I feel incredibly grateful.🤍

Your reminder that fame belongs to memory while love, kindness, and truth belong to eternity is something I will carry with me. Thank you for reading with such depth, for understanding the heart behind my words, and for always encouraging me to keep writing. It means more than I can express. 🦋✨

The somewhat “boring” sounding dreams are what give contentment in life… the best things in life never shout…

Thank you B 🤍 I couldn’t agree more. The quietest dreams often bring the deepest contentment, and the best things in life rarely need to make any noise. 🦋✨

Great writing. Yes apart from all other option a desirable dream for creative persons can be that a person who might not be in regular touch with him or her feels very near through the writings of that person.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Thank you so much. 🤍 I love that thought. To make someone feel close through words, even from afar, is truly one of the most beautiful gifts of writing. Thank you for sharing such a lovely perspective. 🦋✨

Read this if you’ve started Realizing that Appearances tell you very little about a Person’s Character.

One of the biggest mistakes we make is believing we can accurately judge people by how they present themselves.

The loudest person isn’t always the strongest.

The happiest person isn’t always at peace.

And the person who appears flawless on the outside may be carrying struggles no one else can see.

There’s a quote often attributed to Sigmund Freud that suggests people who appear perfect on the outside may be hiding deep inner struggles. Whether or not he actually said those exact words, the idea points to something important:

People are usually far more complicated than they appear.

Some people spend years building the image of having everything together while quietly fighting battles they never talk about.

Others may seem rough around the edges.

    They’re blunt.

    They’re imperfect.

They don’t always say the right thing.

    But when life gets difficult…

They’re the first ones standing beside you.

That’s why wisdom isn’t learning how to admire appearances.

It’s learning how to recognize character.

    Remember this:

    Charm can attract you.

    Reputation can impress you.

But only consistent actions reveal who someone truly is.

Pay attention to how people treat others when there’s nothing to gain.

Notice who stays when life becomes inconvenient.

Notice who keeps their word when no one is watching.

    Because loyalty rarely announces itself.

It quietly proves itself over time.

The older you get, the less interested you become in people who look perfect…

And the more grateful you become for people who are genuine.

    Real people have flaws.

    Real people make mistakes.

Real people aren’t trying to convince the world they’re perfect.

They’re simply trying to be honest.

And honesty will always be worth more than perfection.
