What gives you direction in life?
Honestly?
Even Google Maps gets confused sometimes…
so who am I to always know the way? 😌
.
I don’t get direction from a perfect plan,
I get it from wrong turns.
.
Mistakes say, “Don’t do that again.”
Experience says, “Maybe be a little less foolish this time.”
Confidence?
It shows up… and then randomly goes on vacation.
.
Patience?
That’s just a buffering circle… constantly spinning 🌀
.
Passion is sometimes fire 🔥
and sometimes low battery mode 🔋
.
And love…
love is that GPS that somehow finds the heart even without a signal ❤️
.
Creativity gets activated at 2 a.m. for no reason,
and courage…
courage is that friend who says,
“Let’s just do it… we’ll deal with the consequences later.”
.
Empathy and sympathy?
They remind me I’m not a robot 🤖❌
.
So what actually gives me direction?
.
Not one thing.
It’s a slightly chaotic team effort.
.
Mistakes show me where not to go.
Experience shows me what might work.
Passion pulls me forward.
Love keeps me grounded.
And courage gives me that final push when I’m overthinking everything.
.
So my direction isn’t a straight arrow…
it’s more like a messy but honest compass
.
pointing me forward, even when I don’t fully know where “forward” is. 😌✨

Who are you ? I would like to know you better. You just explained my own process with one remark: I use mistakes to improve myself. not to close this direction at all. If like mindedness exists, maybe this post was a signal for me to want to interact with you further. 10x!
I like how you put that using mistakes to improve, not to limit yourself. That’s exactly the spirit I resonate with.🤍
I’m just someone figuring life out, one imperfect step at a time… and sharing those reflections along the way.🤍
If it connected with you, maybe it was a signal.😊
Glad you stopped by 🤍✨
Perfectly summed up being human with its vagaries and variations. Fully resonates!
Exactly Aniruddha ji… the beauty lies in those imperfections and variations.🤍✨ Glad it found a place with you ✨
This is such a refreshing, honest piece—it feels like a conversation with your own mind, and that’s what makes it so relatable. The way you turn everyday ideas—like Google Maps, buffering, low battery—into metaphors for life is both playful and quietly insightful.
What really stands out is the balance. There’s humor, but it doesn’t dilute the depth. Lines like “direction comes from wrong turns” and “love is that GPS that finds the heart without a signal” land beautifully—they’re simple, but they linger.
This is such a beautiful way of reading it Verma ji… truly 🤍
The way you noticed those small metaphors and felt the depth behind them it means more than I can put into words.🤍
I was just trying to make sense of my own thoughts… and somehow, it reached you so gently.🤍
Your words feel like a soft reassurance that this kind of honesty does find its place.
Thank you for reading it with so much warmth… and for seeing it so deeply ✨
Thank you—that really touched me.
There’s something very real about writing that comes from a place of simply trying to understand your own thoughts. It carries a kind of honesty that doesn’t need to be forced—and that’s exactly what came through in your piece.
I think the reason it felt so natural to read is because you didn’t try to over-explain anything. You allowed the thoughts to exist as they are, and that quiet sincerity is what makes it resonate.
That means so much… truly 🙏✨
I’m just trying to stay honest with what I feel, without overthinking it.Really grateful it connected with you on that level 🤍✨
That really comes through—the honesty without overthinking it. There’s a certain ease in writing like that, where it’s not trying to impress, just to express. And that’s exactly what makes it land so naturally.
Sometimes the most meaningful things are the ones we don’t try too hard to shape. You trusted the feeling, and it found its way—simple as that.
This is beautiful, Rajeshwari. 💫
You’ve turned life’s beautiful mess into a kind of quiet wisdom that so many of us feel but rarely put into words.
That line — “Mistakes show me where not to go” — is going to stay with me for a long time. Thank you for this reminder that direction doesn’t need to be perfect to be real. It just needs to be honest. 😌❤️
This truly touched my heart Srikanth ji… 🤍
The way you held onto that one line and made it your own that’s exactly why I write.
Sometimes we’re all just trying to make peace with the mess, and if even one thought stays with someone… it feels worth it.
You put it so beautifully direction doesn’t have to be perfect, just honest. Thank you for reading me with so much warmth… and for carrying a piece of it with you 😌✨
Beautifully written, Rajeshwari… felt real in every line 😌
Direction doesn’t need perfection, just honesty and courage ✨
That “messy compass” idea hits deep 💫
We’re all just figuring it out as we go… and that’s okay ❤️
Keep writing, Rajeshwari, this resonates a lot 🌿
Thank you so much Maha✨… this truly means a lot to me 😌✨ Yes, maybe it’s not about perfect direction, just an honest journey 💫 Grateful it resonated with you 🤍❤️✨
You are right 👍 We need to be honest and courageous when choosing our direction, and we don’t need to be perfect. We all learn from our mistakes. Love is wonderful.
Wishing you a happy weekend!
So true… choosing honestly is what really shapes the journey ✨ And yes, love makes it even more beautiful 💛 Wishing you a warm, happy weekend🤍✨
Thank you so much! 😇
You’re right 👍
This is thought-provoking, Rajesh, and so true. There is no perfect formula.
Thank you so much Hazel✨… I really appreciate this. You’re right there isn’t any perfect formula, we’re all just figuring it out as we go.🤍✨
The compass is messy but honest-that is what we all should have
So true Nusrat… messy but honest is enough to move forward. 😌🤍✨
Rajeshwari ji, your piece reflects a profound truth of life one that we often feel, but rarely manage to express with such simplicity and grace.
Here, “direction” is not presented as a fixed destination, but as a living, evolving process where getting lost is also part of the path, and uncertainty itself becomes a form of clarity. Truly, in life, direction is not found by knowing, but by living.
Calling love a “GPS” and patience a “buffering circle” is not just metaphorical it’s a subtle spiritual interpretation of modern life. It reveals how deeply human, imperfect, and yet meaningful our inner journey really is.
What stands out most beautifully is that you haven’t confined direction to a single element; instead, you’ve seen it as a kind of “chaotic harmony.” And that is the true nature of life where clarity is often born from within the fog.
Ultimately, your “messy but honest compass” feels the most authentic because it doesn’t promise perfection, but gives the courage to keep moving forward despite imperfection.
Reading your piece feels as if life itself is smiling and gently saying: “Don’t search for the path… just keep walking, and the path will reveal itself.” 😌
Thank you so much Vijay ji for reading it with such depth and care… the way you’ve understood and expressed it feels incredibly meaningful. You’ve captured the essence even more beautifully the idea that direction isn’t something we fix, but something we slowly live into.
“Messy but honest compass” and “chaotic harmony” truly reflect what I was trying to feel while writing this. It’s comforting to know that the same thought resonated with you so deeply.
Grateful for your words… they add another layer of meaning to the piece itself. 😌
So honest and so relatable. The use of metaphors is awesome. Well penned, Rajeshwari 👌☀️💫
Thank you so much KK… I’m really glad it resonated with you. It means a lot that the metaphors spoke to you too they were just feelings trying to find their way into words. 😌✨
