When do you feel most productive?
When it’s almost too late to be productive.
.
Not 1 hour before.
Not even 30 minutes.
.
More like… 12 minutes before the deadline.
.
That’s when my brain suddenly unlocks premium features.
.
Focus? Activated.
Speed? Unmatched.
Distractions? Disappear like they were never there.
.
No overthinking.
No procrastination.
No “let me get in the mood.”
.
Just pure survival mode.
.
The same task I’ve been “about to start” for 2 days?
Done. Submitted. Sometimes even suspiciously good.
.
And the funny part?
.
When I do have time
I become extremely productive… at everything except the actual work.
.
I’ll organize things.
Clean something that didn’t need cleaning.
Check my phone “for 2 minutes.”
Mentally prepare like I’m about to change my life.
.
But the task?
Still waiting. Still untouched.
.
Because apparently, my brain doesn’t respond to free time.
It responds to panic with consequences.
.
Give me a whole day I’ll waste it professionally.
Give me 20 minutes I’ll deliver results that surprise even me.
.
So yeah…
.
I’m not inconsistent.
I’m not lazy.
.
I’m just… performance-based.
.
And my system only works when there’s
a little chaos, a lot of pressure, and absolutely no time left. 🤡✨

This is honestly such a relatable and cleverly observed piece 😄
There’s a lot of truth hidden in the humor—you’ve captured that strange “pressure unlocks performance” phenomenon really well. It’s funny, but also very human: when time stretches out, motivation dilutes, but when urgency kicks in, the mind suddenly becomes sharp, focused, almost effortless.
This is so beautifully said Verma ji, thank you 🤍
It’s funny how the mind stays quiet… until a deadline turns it razor sharp 😅
Maybe I am not lazy just activated by urgency.🫣
Haha, “activated by urgency” is a very accurate way to put it 😄
What you’re describing is actually pretty common—the brain often doesn’t fully engage when things feel open-ended, but once there’s a clear boundary (like a deadline), attention and focus snap into place. It’s less about laziness and more about how your system responds to pressure and structure.
Haha, exactly 😄 “Activated by urgency” really is my operating system at this point 🤡✨
And yes, that makes so much sense turns out it’s not laziness, just a very dramatic relationship with deadlines 💫🤍✨
Haha, that’s one way to put it 😄
A “dramatic relationship with deadlines” is actually a pretty accurate description of how a lot of high-functioning procrastination works—you’re not avoiding the work, you’re just waiting for the moment your brain decides it’s urgent enough to respect.
Rajeshwari, you’ve perfectly described the secret superpower so many of us wish we didn’t have — but honestly? Kind of respect. That last-minute clarity isn’t chaos; it’s your brain refusing to settle for anything less than urgent brilliance. 💫
This is so beautifully said… thank you so much Srikanth ji🤍
I love how you called it “urgent brilliance” that somehow makes it feel less like chaos and more like a strange little superpower 😄✨
Maybe it’s just the mind waiting for the moment that truly matters.
Really appreciate this perspective 💫🙏🏻🤍✨
Thank you 🤍✨
This is not laziness, but the nature of the mind’s focus.
In ordinary time, the mind remains scattered.
But as time shrinks, choices disappear,
and awareness gathers into a single point.
That is why, in the final moments, work becomes effortless and intense
because there is no “thinking,” only flow.
The real practice, however, is this:
to awaken the same clarity 12 hours before,
that you usually find 12 minutes before.
Then work is no longer driven by pressure,
but becomes a natural expression of being.
Thank you so much Vijay ji for this beautiful insight 🤍 You’ve expressed it with such clarity and calm it truly reflects the deeper intention behind the post ✨ The way you described that shift from pressure to natural flow adds such a meaningful depth to it 🤍✨
Good 👍 well shared
Thank you Priti😊 Means a lot coming from you✨
🙏🏼
So true!
I’m glad you liked it 😊
I always thought I was a super woman under exigency !!
Haha, same here! 😄 Looks like pressure brings out our inner superwoman.🤍✨
I really enjoyed the humorous way you crafted this piece. I used to tell my team that work is like rubber, it can be stretched, to a limit, as you wish.😊😀
Glad you enjoyed it 😊That’s such a great way to put it work really does stretch, just like rubber, within its limits 😄
