We Were Never Meant To Arrive

If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

A long empty road leading toward quiet mountains at sunset, symbolising an inner journey, solitude, and silent reflection — Nihshabd
“Some roads don’t ask where you’re going.”

If I could un-invent destination,

it would be because everything beautiful happens before we arrive.

The excitement that makes the heart race.

The little fear that walks in quietly with hope.

The journey where love begins softly

not with promises,

but with presence.

A couple holding hands, walking together on a mountain path surrounded by misty hills, symbolizing love, journey, and togetherness – Nihshabd
“Two hearts. One road. No hurry to arrive.”

Walking side by side,

sometimes talking,

sometimes lost in silence,

letting the road decide our pace.

The open sky above us,

the playful wind touching our faces,

the tall mountains standing still,

as if they know what we are becoming.

In the journey,

there is laughter that comes easily,

there is longing that feels sweet,

there is closeness that doesn’t ask for words.

Time feels different here.

Nothing is missing.

Nothing is rushed.

Not waiting for anything.
Just sitting with what the journey left inside me.
“The road rested outside the window,
and so did her heart.”

But when we reach the destination,

everything gently shifts.

The movement slows.

The questions rest.

The magic learns to be quiet.

Not because love disappears,

but because it has been felt fully,

in every step,

in every shared breath.

A young man outdoors with friends, smiling in a shared moment, representing connection, presence, and quiet joy beyond words — Nihshabd
“Some moments arrive quietly
and stay longer than destinations.”

Maybe love was never meant to be reached.

Maybe it was meant to be lived

on open roads,

under wide skies,

with wind in our hair

and hands that never hurry to let go.

  1. Beautifully put! 🏔️ The journey truly is where all the life happens. Destined moments are special, but the memories made along the road are what we cherish forever. Great reflection!”

  2. The tale of reaching the point of loving the person is a long one,
    And the efforts made to reach them and how crazily you were in love matters;

Maybe that’s what teaches us to adore them even more,
The rush, the want to know more of them,
    About them…!

A piece of text that painted a picture…!

    1. Thank you so much for this beautiful understanding. Yes, sometimes it’s the longing, the effort, and the quiet madness of getting there that teaches us how deeply we can love. I’m glad the words could paint that picture for you.

    1. Thank you so much Mr. Ashish … That really means a lot coming from you.🤍✨
I’m glad the ending connected with you ✨those lines came very honestly. Truly grateful for your words.

      1. Thank you so much 😊🤍✨
Your words stayed with me. I truly value genuine appreciation and meaningful connections, and I’m glad we connected here. Looking forward to more such thoughtful exchanges ahead.🤍✨

  3. I read this piece again and again, and each time it felt uncannily personal, as if it were quietly mirroring something lived rather than imagined. More than all your other writings, this one truly pauses the reader and asks them to reflect, not intellectually, but emotionally and philosophically. The way you dissolve the idea of “destination” and place meaning in movement, presence, and shared silence feels deeply honest. It reminds us that love is not an achievement or an arrival, but a continuous unfolding that happens when two people walk with awareness, without hurry, without armor.

Your imagery is gentle yet profound—the mist, the mountains, the unspoken companionship—all of it carries a softness that lingers. What touched me most is the understanding that while silence is sacred, it does not always suffice. Sometimes words are needed, not to disturb the magic, but to protect it from misunderstanding. This balance between silence and expression, journey and pause, is beautifully held here. Thank you for writing with such sensitivity, respect, and emotional truth. This piece doesn’t just describe a journey—it becomes one, and I’m grateful to have walked it through your words. 🤍🙏
