What are your favorite 5 apps on your phone?
Five Apps? In This Economy? 😂
What are your favorite 5 apps on your phone?
First of all… who decided I’m capable of choosing only five? 😭
My phone has apps that have survived my questionable decisions, witnessed my procrastination, enabled my creativity, stored my random thoughts, and probably know more about me than some people do.
And now I’m supposed to pick just five?
That feels less like a daily prompt and more like a very unnecessary emotional crisis. 😂
But if I really have to pick five…
Because apparently disappearing for three days and then replying, “Sorry, just saw this,” is a perfectly acceptable communication strategy.
WhatsApp is basically where conversations happen, plans are made, plans are cancelled, family groups become unexpectedly active, and someone inevitably sends a “Good Morning” image before sunrise.
And despite all that…
I’d still panic if it disappeared from my phone.
✍️ WordPress/Jetpack
My little publishing studio, notebook, idea warehouse, and occasional overthinking department.
It’s where random thoughts become posts, tiny observations turn into something worth writing about, and “I’ll just write a few lines” quietly turns into an entire article.
And then comes the other important part:
Checking stats.
Because apparently knowing that seven people visited your post at 2:17 a.m. is somehow useful information. 😌
WordPress isn’t just an app I use.
It’s where a lot of my thoughts get a place to live.
🎨 Canva
Because not every problem needs solving.
Some problems just need better fonts.
Need a featured image? Canva.
Need a quote graphic? Canva.
Need something that looks like you actually planned it? Also Canva. 😂
It has saved me from staring at a blank screen and thinking, “Okay… but how do I make this look less boring?”
For inspiration, entertainment, creative rabbit holes… and the completely unplanned 47-minute research expedition on something I didn’t even care about five minutes ago.
I open Instagram for one quick look.
Instagram: “Sure. See you in an hour.”
And honestly, sometimes it’s genuinely inspiring. A beautiful illustration, a clever idea, a new creator, a random piece of information I didn’t know I needed.
So yes, I blame the algorithm.
But I also keep coming back. 😌
🖌️ Procreate
Where “I’ll just doodle for five minutes” somehow becomes an entire evening.
Procreate is my little creative escape.
Sometimes I know exactly what I want to draw.
Sometimes I open it with absolutely no plan and start making marks until something begins to look like an idea.
And sometimes the “five-minute doodle” becomes a completely unnecessary three-hour project.
But that’s the fun part.
There are no notifications asking me to reply to someone, no stats to check, no algorithm deciding what I should see.
Just me, a blank canvas, and the dangerous thought:
“Let me try one more thing.” 😂
Because Five Favorite Apps Were Clearly Not Enough 😂
And yes, I have many more favorite apps.
Choosing only five was unnecessarily cruel. 😌
There are apps I use for practical things, apps that make life easier, apps I open purely out of curiosity, and apps that make me shop for things I didn’t know I needed. 😂
And then there are the instant-delivery apps—which deserve a special mention from every mother.
Because kids come home from school and say nothing even after being asked 25 times. And then, at 11 p.m.:
“Mom, I need this for my school project tomorrow.”
🙂 TOMORROW?!
A huge thank you to all the instant-delivery apps and their delivery heroes who save us moms from these last-minute school-project emergencies.
You don’t just deliver things.
You deliver survival. 😂🙏
But these five?
They’re a little different.
They’re not necessarily my five most-used apps.
They’re the five that connect with different little parts of my everyday life—communication, writing, designing, discovering, and creating.
Basically, my phone has its own tiny ecosystem.
And apparently, I’m the unpaid manager. 😂
So, these are the five I’d keep if my phone suddenly decided to become extremely strict.
Now your turn: If your phone confiscated every app except five, which ones would you fight to keep? 😂
