Pretty, Talented… But This One Stayed

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

Have you ever wondered which compliment stays with you the longest?

Honestly… I can’t pick just one.

I’ve received quite a few—
some said, “you write beautifully,”
some said, “you think deeply,”
some looked at my work and said,
“you make such beautiful illustrations,”
some said, “you cook really well,”
and so on…

and then there are people who look at me and go,
“You’re so beautiful.”

And I’m just there like…
“Okay… thank you… I’ll pass this feedback to my mirror, it deserves the credit.” 😌

I mean, I’ll take it—of course I will.
I’m not that humble.

Compliments like these come with a smile you don’t even try to hide…

and sometimes a confidence boost that lasts exactly 2.5 business days.

But at the same time…
I feel no compliment is really greater or lesser than another.
Each one carries its own little warmth.

Still, if there’s something that keeps finding its way back to me—
through different people, at different times—
it’s this:

“You’re a good human being.”

And I know, it sounds simple…
almost too simple.
No sparkle, no dramatic shine.

No “wow”, no “omg”, no screenshot-worthy moment.

But maybe that’s exactly why it stays.

Because creating art can be learned,
being impressive can be practiced…
but being a good human—
that’s not a skill you show,
it’s a pattern you repeat.

In the small choices,
in how you respond,
in the way you treat people
when no one is watching…
and especially when you’re in a bad mood and still choose not to be a terrible person.

So yes…
“you’re beautiful” makes me smile,
“your illustrations are beautiful” makes me a little proud,
“you cook really well” makes me slightly overconfident in the kitchen…

But “you’re a good human”?
That one… stays.

Not the loudest,
not the fanciest—
just the one that quietly checks
if you’re actually living right.

And maybe… the most important.

Such a beautifully honest and refreshing reflection, Rajeshwari✨
I love how you’ve captured the quiet depth of a simple compliment—“you’re a good human being.” In a world that celebrates sparkle, you’ve reminded us of substance. There’s something truly powerful about valuing character over charm, and you’ve expressed it with warmth, wit, and grace.

This piece doesn’t just read well—it stays. 💛

This is so beautifully written Verma ji… it truly touched me 🥹✨
The way you understood the depth behind something so simple and reflected it with such warmth… it means more than I can express.
Some words just stay with you—and yours will stay with me. Thank you from the heart 💛

This is so beautifully written, Rajeshwari—just like everything else you create. 💕

But what strikes me most isn’t just the words themselves, but the quiet wisdom in them. That ability to sit with all the compliments, to receive them with gratitude and grace, and then to quietly recognize which ones actually matter—that takes a depth of self-awareness most people never reach.

And you’re right. The world knows how to applaud talent, beauty, skill. But kindness? Integrity? Being genuinely good when it’s hard, when no one’s watching, when your mirror is the only witness? That’s not applause-worthy to the world—but it’s everything to the people whose lives you touch.

So here’s to the compliments that don’t make it to Instagram stories but live in the hearts of those who’ve experienced your warmth. Here’s to the quiet pattern of goodness you keep choosing, day after day.

You’re not just a good human, Rajeshwari. You’re the kind that makes others want to be better too.

    And that? That stays. 🧿💕

This… truly left me speechless for a moment 🥹✨The way you’ve seen and expressed something so quietly personal… it feels incredibly special and rare.🤍✨
Your words don’t just compliment—they reflect, they understand, they stay.
I don’t know if I deserve all of it, but I deeply, deeply feel it.🤍✨
Thank you Srikanth ji for seeing me this way… I’ll carry this in my heart for a long time 🧿✨

What a beautifully honest reflection, Rajeshwari…

It’s true compliments about talent or appearance feel wonderful in the moment, like a warm breeze that lifts you for a while. But the ones about who you are… they settle much deeper.

“You’re a good human being” isn’t flashy, but it carries a quiet weight. It reflects consistency, kindness, and integrity the things that don’t seek attention, yet define everything.

Anyone can learn to create, to present, to impress… but being good, especially when it’s hard, especially when no one notices that’s something far more rare.

Perhaps that’s why it stays. Because it’s not just appreciation… it’s recognition of your inner truth.

And in the end, that’s the compliment that doesn’t fade with time it grows with you. 🙏

When you paint with colors and write with words, you must have two keyboards – one for the brush and one for the heart! 🎨✍️
This blog feels like a closet where words wear colors and colors tell stories. 👗📖
Honestly, I’m just waiting for the day your sketches start writing captions by themselves! 😉✨
