    A Different Kind of Minimalism✨

    Daily writing prompt
    Do you believe in minimalism?

A Different Kind of Minimalism: Not Less Life, Just Less Noise

Perhaps minimalism is not always about owning less. Sometimes, it is about carrying less.

    ——————————————

    Do You Believe in Minimalism?

    I do.

But probably not in the way Instagram wants me to.

    My bookshelves are full.

    My camera roll is overflowing.

And I still keep random things because they remind me of random days.

So clearly, I am not winning any minimalist awards.

    But over the years,

I have become a minimalist in other ways.

    I keep fewer grudges.

    They’re heavy,

    take up too much space,

    and never match the decor.

    I keep fewer expectations too.

    Not because I don’t care,

but because I’ve learned that people are much happier

when they’re allowed to be themselves

instead of the characters we cast them as.

I try to keep fewer worries.

The future already has enough of its own.

It doesn’t need me rehearsing disasters

like I’m preparing for an audition.

    And I’ve become very selective

about what gets permanent residence in my head.

    Some thoughts are just tourists.

    They don’t need property rights.

Nature seems to understand this better than we do.

A tree doesn’t grow extra leaves

to impress the tree next door.

A bird doesn’t compare its flight path

    with another bird’s.

The sunrise never arrives and says,

“I hope everyone likes me today.”

It simply shows up and does its thing.

    What confidence.

    What freedom.

Maybe that’s the kind of minimalism I believe in.

    Not fewer possessions.

    Fewer pressures.

    Not emptier rooms.

    A quieter mind.

    Not less life.

Just fewer things standing between me

and the life I keep forgetting to enjoy.

    ——————————————

✦ A Thought to Leave With

Perhaps growing older is not about collecting more and more.

Perhaps it is learning what deserves a place in our lives—

and gently showing the rest the door. 🌿

  • Where Time Still Sits✨

    Where Time Still Sits✨

    Daily writing prompt
Go on a walk today and share a photo of something that catches your eye.

Where time still sits isn’t always a place on a map. For me, it’s the old bench I pass almost every day.

I pass by that old bench almost every day.

    It stands there quietly,
as if it has been waiting for me all this time—
    never impatient,
    never demanding,
    just there.

So many times I have told myself,
“Maybe today I’ll sit for a while.”

    Just for a few moments.
Just long enough to let time slow down
and revisit the days that now live only in memory.

The days when a bench was never just a bench.

    It was a meeting place,
    a storyteller,
    a witness.

We sat for hours with friends,
    laughing until our stomachs hurt,
    arguing over the smallest things,
    walking away in anger,
only to return and make peace again.

    We shared dreams there.
    We shared heartbreak there.

    Sometimes we celebrated victories.
Sometimes we quietly wiped away tears,
    hoping no one would notice.

    And through it all,
    the bench listened.

    It listened without judgment.
    It kept every secret.
    It held every story.

How many friendships has it watched grow?
How many promises has it heard?
How many hearts has it seen break and heal again?

    I wonder.

    The funny thing is,
    the bench is still there.

    It hasn’t changed.

    We have.

Once, we had all the time in the world
    and nowhere important to be.

    Now we have endless responsibilities,
    endless destinations,
    and somehow,
    no time to simply sit.

    When did that happen?

When did we become so busy
    that pausing for a moment
started to feel like a luxury?

Perhaps that is what growing up means—
    not losing our memories,
    but forgetting to revisit them.

Yet I think life’s greatest treasures
are not hidden in grand achievements
    or distant destinations.

    They live in the pauses.

    In the quiet moments.

In the places that ask nothing from us
    except our presence.

So if you ever pass an old bench,
    take a seat.

Stay a little longer than you planned.

    Listen to the silence.

You may find an old version of yourself waiting there—
the one who laughed more freely,
    dreamed more boldly,
    and carried a lighter heart.

Because some benches are not made of wood and iron alone.

    They are built from conversations,
    friendships,
    tears,
    laughter,
    and time itself.

Perhaps where time still sits is not on a clock, but in the places that quietly keep our memories alive.

    And while time moves on,
    the memories it leaves behind
    remain seated,
waiting patiently for us to return.

Sometimes life doesn’t ask us to run faster. Sometimes it places a quiet bench along the way, reminding us that resting is not falling behind—it is part of the journey. 🌿🪑✨

    .

  • A Little Bit of Magic Called Life

A Little Bit of Magic Called Life

    Daily writing prompt
What is the meaning of life?

    What Life Feels Like ✨

    Sometimes,
    when I sit quietly
    and think about life,
it feels like a tiny beautiful moment
    running softly through my hands
before I can hold it completely.

    Like a butterfly
    that chooses your shoulder
    for just a second. 🦋

    Like a rainbow
    appearing shyly after rain
    only to disappear again
as if magic was never meant
    to stay forever. 🌈

    Life feels golden sometimes —
    sunlight tangled in hair,
    music floating through rooms,
    giggles that arrive unexpectedly,
    laughter so pure
it heals hidden corners inside us.

    And sometimes life is simply
    a soft breeze,
a silver line behind dark clouds,
    a strange little miracle
    hiding inside ordinary days.

    To me,
life is not a race to win.

    It is freedom.
    Peace.
    Clarity.
    Love without conditions.
    Happiness found in tiny things.

It is dancing foolishly in the kitchen,
    singing wrong lyrics loudly,
    being playful without shame,
    staying a little crazy,
    a little quirky,
    a little wonderfully undone.

    Life is learning to live
without grudges heavy in the heart.
    To let go gently.
    To forgive quietly.
    To protect your peace
    like something sacred.

And maybe the meaning of life
is not something huge at all.

Maybe it is simply this —

    to love deeply,
    laugh endlessly,
    feel everything fully,
    and leave behind
    a little warmth,
    a little music,
    and a little magic
    wherever we go. ✨

  • The Hidden Happiness in 5 Simple Everyday Moments

The Hidden Happiness in 5 Simple Everyday Moments

What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness?

    .

The Kind of Happiness No One Talks About

    .

I don’t think happiness is always loud.

It doesn’t always look like achievements or perfect days.

Sometimes it’s just… small things quietly working in your favor,

and you noticing them at the right moment.

    .

Here are five things that do that for me:

    1. When I don’t have to rushy

    No urgency. No pressure.

Just doing things at my own pace

it feels like I got my life back for a few hours.

    .

    2. When something I was overthinking works out normally

    No drama. No worst-case scenario.

    Just a simple, calm outcome.

    Almost disappointing… but mostly peaceful.

    .

    3. When I laugh at something I didn’t expect to

A random line, a silly moment, nothing extraordinary

but it shifts my whole mood.

    .

    4. When silence feels comfortable, not heavy

No need to fill it. No need to explain anything.

    Just being… without performing.

    .

    5. When I realize I handled something better than before

No announcement, no big moment —

    just a quiet “okay… I’ve grown a little.”

    .

It’s strange how these moments don’t look important,

but somehow… they are the ones that stay.

Not loud enough to post about,

but strong enough to carry you through the day.

    .

    .

Soft moments, simple joys, real happiness 🤍

  • Stillness Beyond the Mist

    Stillness Beyond the Mist

    .

    .

On a soft blanket of clouds,

    my gaze drifts far away…

    Beyond the mist,

    calm, steady, unwavering

    the Himalayas quietly stay.

    .

    These clouds come and go,

    shifting forms, fading apart…

    But the mountains

    they neither tremble nor tire,

they simply stand from the start.

    .

Like the noise of everyday life,

    the tangles, the emotional haze…

    And somewhere within us too,

    there lives a Himalaya

    silent, strong in its ways.

    .

From above, it all seems blurred,

yet truth is never truly gone…

What stands firm in its being

    can never be withdrawn.

    .

    Peeking through the drifting clouds,

    a quiet kind of grace

no matter how thick the fog,

    steadiness finds its place.

    .

  • I Didn’t Know Saying Yes Could Cost Me This Much

I Didn’t Know Saying Yes Could Cost Me This Much

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

No one warned me that always saying ‘yes’ would slowly erase me.

    .

I’ve always had a complicated relationship with the word “no.”

    Not because I didn’t understand it…

but because I rarely used it.

    .

It would sit quietly on my lips,

while “yes” walked out… confidently, repeatedly, almost habitually.

    .

And I told myself it was kindness.

Which, to be fair, it was…

    just not always towards myself.

    .

    So I said yes

to people, to plans, to moments that didn’t quite belong to me.

And somewhere in all of that,

my own time started slipping through the cracks… very politely.

    .

    The strange thing is

    nothing ever broke.

Except a little bit of my energy,

a little bit of my space,

and sometimes… my mood, which deserved better 😄

    .

I didn’t realise when “being nice” quietly turned into “being available.”

(And no, there was no official announcement… just a very silent transition.)

    .

But life, in its own subtle way, started nudging me.

    In those tiny pauses…

    where I began to wonder,

“What if I don’t say yes this time?”

    .

    And recently… I tried it.

A small, gentle, slightly nervous “no.”

    .

    No drama.

    No disappointment worth mentioning.

Just… a little more room to breathe.

    .

Almost magical, how one word can return you to yourself ✨

    .

So maybe this is a reminder

especially for every girl who has ever felt guilty for choosing herself

you don’t have to earn your rest, your space, or your boundaries.

You’re allowed to keep some parts of your day… just for you 💛

    .

    And as for me…

let’s just say, somewhere between habit and healing,

a new version is quietly making its way

No 2.0… still gentle, still kind, just a little less “yes” by default 😉

  • Pretty, Talented… But This One Stayed

Pretty, Talented… But This One Stayed

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

Have you ever wondered which compliment stays with you the longest?

    Honestly… I can’t pick just one.

    I’ve received quite a few—
    some said, “you write beautifully,”
    some said, “you think deeply,”
some looked at my work and said,
    “you make such beautiful illustrations,”
some said, “you cook really well,”
    and so on…

and then there are people who look at me and go,
    “You’re so beautiful.”

    And I’m just there like…
“Okay… thank you… I’ll pass this feedback to my mirror, it deserves the credit.” 😌

    I mean, I’ll take it—of course I will.
    I’m not that humble.

Compliments like these come with a smile you don’t even try to hide…

and sometimes a confidence boost that lasts exactly 2.5 business days.

    But at the same time…
I feel no compliment is really greater or lesser than another.
Each one carries its own little warmth.

Still, if there’s something that keeps finding its way back to me—
through different people, at different times—
    it’s this:

    “You’re a good human being.”

And I know, it sounds simple…
    almost too simple.
    No sparkle, no dramatic shine.

No “wow”, no “omg”, no screenshot-worthy moment.

But maybe that’s exactly why it stays.

Because creating art can be learned,
    being impressive can be practiced…
    but being a good human—
that’s not a skill you show,
    it’s a pattern you repeat.

    In the small choices,
    in how you respond,
in the way you treat people
    when no one is watching…
and especially when you’re in a bad mood and still choose not to be a terrible person.

    So yes…
    “you’re beautiful” makes me smile,
“your illustrations are beautiful” makes me a little proud,
“you cook really well” makes me slightly overconfident in the kitchen…

    But “you’re a good human”?
    That one… stays.

    Not the loudest,
    not the fanciest—
just the one that quietly checks
    if you’re actually living right.

    And maybe… the most important.

  • The Places Where I Accidentally Disappear

The Places Where I Accidentally Disappear

What activities do you lose yourself in?

    .

People often ask about the places where I accidentally disappear. They expect a neat little hobby list. Reading. Painting. Yoga at sunrise…

As if it’s some neat little hobby list.

    Like:

    Reading.

    Painting.

    Yoga at sunrise.

    Very aesthetic. Very organised.

Unfortunately, my mind does not operate like a well-labelled storage box.

    I don’t schedule losing myself.

    I simply… vanish.

    Sometimes it happens while writing.

A sentence arrives quietly, like a shy guest, and before I know it, I am chasing words through paragraphs as if they are fireflies in the dark. One thought becomes another, then another, and suddenly an hour has passed.

    No warning.

    No permission taken.

    Illustrating does this too.

When a blank digital canvas stares back at me, I tell myself I will “just add a small detail.”

    A line here.

    A shadow there.

Next thing I know, I am zoomed in at 400%, arguing with a pixel.

This pixel, apparently, holds the fate of the entire universe.

Sometimes I disappear into thoughts instead.

Not dramatic thoughts. Just the quiet wandering kind.

The kind where a simple idea grows branches —

    What if…

    Why do we

    Isn’t it strange that…

And suddenly my mind is exploring philosophical forests when I was only supposed to be making tea.

The tea, by the way, is usually cold by the time I return to reality.

And then there are moments when nothing “productive” is happening at all.

Just watching the sky change colours.

Listening to a song too many times.

Or staring at something ordinary until it quietly becomes beautiful.

    Those moments are dangerous.

Because that’s when time slips away most politely.

    No drama.

    No announcements.

    Just a gentle disappearance.

So if you ask me what activities make me lose myself…

    The honest answer is this:

Anything that feels a little magical, a little curious, and slightly unnecessary to the practical world.

    Writing.

    Illustrating.

Thinking too much about small things.

Apparently, my favourite hobby is accidentally leaving reality for a while.

    And honestly?

I’m not in a hurry to come back.

  • Where I Felt Loved: A Heartfelt Poem of Tender Moments, Music, and Evening Breezes

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

A digital illustration of a woman in a vibrant, rainbow-colored saree made of tiny flowers, with flowers in her hair and soft, glowing colors all around her, reflecting grace, creativity, and the tender, colorful moments of love and life described in the poem.
“A quiet bloom of color and feeling.”

    I felt loved

in the golden hush of early mornings,

when sunlight spilled like warm honey

    over my cheeks,

    and someone whispered,

    “You are enough,”

soft as a breeze through jasmine.

    I felt loved

when my thoughts, tangled like wild vines,

    were held gently,

    not pruned or rushed,

    but admired

    for the way they grew.

    I felt loved

in the crimson glow of evening,

when the sky melted into pinks and purples,

and the breeze danced through my hair,

    tickling, teasing, whispering,

    “You are home.”

    I felt loved

with a brush in my hand,

painting emerald leaves and sapphire skies,

    watching colors swirl into stories,

feeling the heartbeat of my soul

    bleed into every stroke.

    I felt loved

in the soft melody of old songs,

    their notes floating like petals

    falling slowly into my chest,

    reminding me of laughter,

    memories,

and moments I thought were lost.

    I felt loved

    not in perfection,

but in the patchwork of my messy days,

in the warmth of eyes that saw me

    as I am

    wild, fragile, fierce, tender.

And in these quiet, luminous moments,

    I realized:

    love isn’t always loud.

    Sometimes,

it is a rainbow in a single drop of rain,

    a heartbeat beside yours,

    steady, unwavering, infinite.
