Evolving (I guess…)

What is one word that describes you?

WordPress asked an interesting question today—

“One word that describes you.”

.

And honestly, my first reaction was—

Can someone else answer this for me? 😂

.

Because if describing yourself was that easy,

there wouldn’t be this much confusion.

.

Some days I feel quite sorted.

And then, the very next moment,

I manage to confuse myself again.

.

Sometimes I understand people without a word.

And sometimes,

I can’t even understand what I’m feeling.

.

So… one word?

.

Strong — sometimes.

Calm — depends.

Overthinker — a little too accurate.

.

Then I realized,

maybe the problem isn’t the word.

.

Maybe the problem is—

I don’t fit into just one version.

.

I keep changing.

Quietly. Gradually.

.

Things that once mattered,

don’t feel the same anymore.

People I thought I needed,

I somehow learned to live without.

.

And the person I used to be—

I don’t think I want to stay there anymore.

.

So if I really have to choose,

I’ll go with—

.

Evolving.

.

Not a perfect word.

But for now,

the most honest one.

.

    1. Onederful… okay, that’s actually pretty creative 😄
Didn’t expect a new word to describe me today… but I’ll take it.
Thank you so much, Aniruddha ji, for your kind words.

  1. There are some words you don’t just choose… they quietly reveal themselves through your journey.
    “Evolving” is one of them.
    Because it doesn’t claim perfection
    it accepts change.
    It doesn’t demand clarity
    it allows confusion to breathe.
Sometimes you feel strong, sometimes scattered,
sometimes deeply aware… and sometimes completely lost.
And yet, through all these shifting shades,
something within you keeps moving softly, silently, forward.
    Perhaps the truth is
we are not meant to be defined,
we are meant to be discovered… again and again.
So yes, “Evolving” may not be a perfect word
but it is a living one.
And maybe that’s far more beautiful.

    1. This is so beautifully felt…
“Evolving” truly isn’t about having it all figured out, it’s about allowing yourself to grow through every phase, even the uncertain ones.
Your words added such a quiet depth to the thought behind this post… thank you for seeing it so meaningfully ✨

  2. Everyone and everything are evolving indeed. We can’t be stagnant. Just the inside beauty must stay. Wonderful answer, Rajesh.

    1. So beautifully said Hazel… truly, growth is inevitable, but holding onto the purity within is what gives it meaning 💛Thank you so much for your kind words 😊

  3. This is beautifully honest, Rajeshwari. 💛
“Evolving” isn’t just a word—it’s a quiet kind of courage. The way you described the shifts, the contradictions, the letting go… so many of us feel that but rarely put it into words this gently. You didn’t just answer the question—you gave words to something a lot of us are silently living.

    1. Thank you so much Srikanth ji … 💛
You’re right evolving rarely feels loud or heroic… it’s mostly quiet decisions, small let-go’s, and learning to sit with our own contradictions.
If it felt familiar to you, then maybe we’re all walking through similar seasons… just in our own ways 🤍✨
