What is your favorite animal?
When asked about my favorite animal,
I don’t look outward.
I listen inward.
Somewhere between my silences and my courage,
an animal lives
not tamed, not loud,
just aware.
It doesn’t chase attention.
It waits, watches,
and knows when to move.
That is my favorite animal.
The one I am still becoming.
It carries the patience to endure,
the instinct to protect,
and the wisdom to retreat when needed.
It understands that strength is not always forward motion,
and survival is not always resistance.
Some days, it teaches me to be gentle
to stay grounded, to give without fear.
Other days, it reminds me to stand firm,
to draw quiet boundaries and honor my space.
It is many animals, not one.
A shared inheritance of instincts
each emerging when life asks for it.
I do not name it,
because naming would limit it.
I let it evolve with me.
Learning, unlearning, adapting.
Becoming braver in silence,
and softer in strength.
And so, my favorite animal
is not something I admire from a distance.
It walks with me,
breathes with me,
and grows
as I do.
“My favorite animal is not one I choose it is the quiet instinct within me, still learning how to live.”

• inner animal • quite becoming • self awareness
Rajeshwari it was such a cool read;
You personified the inner being,
An untamed one and letting it explore life as it happens changing the ways,
Learning as life happens and adapting once things don’t work out and challenging yours each and every day to be better…!
A very great idea of looking inward and appreciating beauty instead of depending on anything external…!
😁🤍
I appreciate this deeply 🤍 You understood exactly what I was trying to express that quiet inner journey, learning as life unfolds, and finding beauty within rather than chasing it outside.🤍✨
Beautiful 🌟
Thank you so much 🌟 I’m really glad it resonated with you.🤍✨
Dear Rajeshwari ji 🤍✨
This is profoundly moving and beautifully articulated. I resonate deeply with the way you describe the inner animal as awareness rather than identity, instinct rather than display. There is quiet power in your words—the kind that doesn’t demand attention but leaves a lasting imprint. Your philosophy honors becoming over being, presence over performance, and wisdom over noise. I admire how gently you hold strength and softness together, allowing them to coexist without conflict. This reflection feels like a mirror for anyone walking the path of self-awareness, learning when to stand firm and when to retreat with grace. *Nihshabd* feels like the perfect embodiment of this silence-full strength. Thank you for sharing such an honest, evolving truth—it encourages us all to trust the quiet intelligence within and grow at our own sacred pace 🌱🕊️
Thank you so much Krishna ji 🤍✨
Your words felt like a gentle embrace. The way you understood “Nihshabd” that quiet strength, that space where softness and courage breathe together means more to me than I can say. I’m grateful you read it with such presence and felt its stillness. It reminds me why I write to honor that silent intelligence within us all 🤍✨
Thank you 🤍✨
Your words feel like a quiet blessing. I’m deeply touched that *Nihshabd* was felt in its stillness—that gentle meeting place of softness and courage. It’s an honor to witness your writing as a reverence to that silent intelligence within us all. Please keep listening to it, and keep writing from that sacred hush… it carries more truth than noise ever could 🌿💛
This is beautifully introspective and quietly powerful. Your words turn a simple question into a meditation on self-awareness, instinct, and growth. I love how the “favorite animal” becomes a living metaphor—fluid, evolving, unnamed—mirroring the way we learn to move through the world with both gentleness and strength. There’s a calm wisdom here that lingers, especially in how you honor silence as courage and restraint as intelligence. Truly thoughtful, grounded, and deeply resonant.
Thank you so much 🤍✨
Your words felt like a quiet understanding rather than just a response. I’m grateful that the metaphor, the silence, and that gentle strength resonated with you. Knowing that it lingered with you makes the sharing feel truly worthwhile.🤍✨
Wow, this piece beautifully captures the quiet strength and evolving nature within each of us. 🌿 The idea that our favorite “animal” is not a creature outside, but an instinct living in patience, courage, and awareness, is so profound. I especially love the line “It doesn’t chase attention. It waits, watches, and knows when to move.” It reminds me to honor my own rhythms and boundaries. Thank you for such a reflective and empowering share, Rajeshwari! 💖

Well said Rajeshwari. You are right about sticking with yourself and improving yourself. We have to get on with our own lives, we have to look out for ourselves. In fact, we have to be our own favorites. You are a wonderful philosopher. Your writings are unique and inspiring. You know very well how to delve into the depth of a word and turn it into knowledge. And this knowledge is very good to read and understand. You are an excellent creator of words. Because your words speak. 😊❤️👏👏
Thank you so much Krish for these beautiful words. It truly means a lot to me. Knowing that my thoughts and words could touch you so deeply makes writing feel even more meaningful. I believe we all are learning, growing, and finding our way sometimes quietly, sometimes through words. If my writing could give even a small sense of clarity or warmth, that itself feels like a blessing. Grateful for your kindness and for reading with such an open heart. 🌸😊
