Travel Advice: Stay Safe, Explore More, Worry Less!

My Travel Advice: Stay Safe, Chase Adventures, Collect Stories! ✈️😂

What’s one piece of travel advice you always follow? Mine is simple: Stay safe, look after your health, and have as much fun as possible! Because honestly, I travel to experience life beyond my usual four walls, not to carry my everyday worries to a different location. 😂

I love the excitement of exploring a new place, discovering hidden gems, trying unfamiliar food, and experiencing things that make me think, “Wow, I’m so glad I came here!”

For me, the magic of travelling lies in those little moments. A beautiful street I wasn’t expecting to find, a breathtaking view, a local delicacy that turns out to be surprisingly delicious, or an unexpected experience that becomes the highlight of the entire trip.

And yes, sometimes the most memorable moments are the ones that don’t go according to plan. Because what’s an adventure without a little unpredictability?

    Be Adventurous, Not Reckless!

I believe in exploring new places with an open mind and a curious heart. Try something new, take that scenic detour, and explore places that make you wonder how you never knew they existed. Just don’t let your adventurous spirit convince you that every mysterious alley is a hidden gem.

But while I’m all for adventure, I also believe in keeping my common sense intact. Stay aware of your surroundings, keep your belongings safe, carry your essential medicines, and don’t ignore your body’s need for rest.

There’s no point in having a fabulous itinerary if you’re too exhausted to enjoy it. And if a place feels unsafe, there’s absolutely no shame in changing your plans.

My idea of adventure is discovering a beautiful new place, not starring in an episode of How Did I Get Myself Into This Situation? 😂

And one more thing: don’t get so busy taking photographs of every beautiful moment that you forget to actually enjoy it. Some memories deserve to be experienced with your own eyes, not just through a phone screen.

What’s Your Travel Advice for a Happy Adventure? ✈️

For me, the best travel advice is to travel smart, stay healthy, embrace the unexpected, and enjoy every little experience along the way.

I want to come back with beautiful memories, funny stories, hundreds of photographs, and perhaps a souvenir I absolutely did not need but couldn’t resist buying. 😂

Because the best part of travelling isn’t just reaching the destination. It’s the excitement of getting there, the experiences along the way, and all those little moments that make you wish the holiday could last a little longer.

So, what’s one piece of travel advice you always follow? And are you the kind of traveller who plans every little detail, or do you love leaving a little room for spontaneous adventures?

I’d love to hear your travel stories!

Budget Travel Tips: My Advice (That I Don’t Follow) 😂

What’s your best tip for budget travel?

If you’re looking for budget travel tips, the first rule is simple: plan ahead.

Book your flights or trains well in advance.
Reserve your hotel early, especially if you’re travelling during the holiday season.
Have your itinerary more or less sorted, so you know where you’re going and how you’re getting around.
Compare prices before booking, use public transport wherever practical, and eat at local places instead of spending every meal at a fancy tourist restaurant.

A little planning can save you quite a bit of money.

    There. That’s my budget-travel wisdom. 😄

And honestly, it’s all very good advice.

I just don’t follow most of it when I’m actually on holiday. 😂

Budget Travel Tips I Don’t Actually Follow

Because for me, a holiday is supposed to feel like a holiday.

I like having my tickets and hotel booked, obviously. I’m not going to land somewhere and start looking for a room! 😂 But once I’m there, I don’t like my days to be ruled by a rigid itinerary.

I like waking up at my own time, having a long, lazy breakfast and deciding what I feel like doing that day.

And if I have a plan but wake up thinking, “You know what? I’d rather stay in today…”

    Plan cancelled.
    No guilt.
    No regrets.
Blanket on. Back to sleep. 😴😂

I also happen to like good hotels. I’m definitely not from the “the hotel is only for sleeping” school of thought.

If I’m on holiday, I want to enjoy the hotel too. The room, the breakfast, the comfort, the little luxuries… I want all of it. 😄

And food? That is definitely not where I’m looking to make heroic sacrifices. 😂 I love trying local food, street food, exploring local markets and discovering those little places that you won’t necessarily find in a tourist guide.

And yes, I have absolutely no problem indulging in something deliciously unhealthy once in a while. It’s a holiday, not a nutrition conference. 😄

And then there are those trips where we don’t plan at all.

A long weekend comes up, we have a few days free, we look at each other and say, “Let’s go somewhere.”

And off we go in the car.

No advance bookings. No elaborate itinerary. Sometimes not even a proper destination beyond “let’s see where the road takes us.” 😂

And somehow, those spontaneous trips can be just as much fun.

So yes, I can happily tell you how to save money while travelling.

But if you ask me whether I practise what I preach…

Well, let’s just say my budget-travel advice and my actual holiday personality are two completely different people. 😂

For me, a holiday needs full enjoyment, full masti and full relaxation.

Because if I have to rush around following a timetable from breakfast to bedtime…

that sounds suspiciously like work. 😄✈️

    And people like me?
We may not always travel by the rulebook, but we certainly know how to enjoy a holiday. 😉
