From “MOMMMM!” to “Did You Eat?” — A Mother’s Entire World ❤️

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

What’s a job I would like to do for just one day?

.

Being a mom.
Oh wait… I already am one.
Then let me correct myself

.

I would like to survive my own job for one full day
without questioning my life choices every 17 minutes. 🙂

Because apparently, according to everyone else,
moms “stay at home.”

Such a cute sentence.
Very fictional.

.

People say it like we spend the day
sipping coffee dramatically near a window
while soft piano music plays in the background.

.

Meanwhile, real life looks like:

.

“Mommmmm where’s my sock?”
“Mommmmm he touched me!”
“Mommmmm what’s for lunch?”
“Mommmmm why are you angry?”

.

I don’t know, sweetheart.
Maybe because I’ve answered 43 questions
before sunrise. 🌝

.

Being a mom is basically working
as a chef, cleaner, therapist, detective, nurse, referee,
professional finder of missing objects,
and emotional support human…

for clients who pay in crumbs and attitude.

.

And somehow…
I’m also expected to remember everything.

.

Vaccination dates? Yes.
School projects? Yes.
Everyone’s favorite snacks? Yes.
Where your lost toy from 2019 disappeared?
Unfortunately, yes.

.

Somewhere between school projects,
Mario races, unfinished homework,
Ludo fights that suddenly turn into world wars,
and dramatic complaints like
“HE GOT THE BIGGER CHOCOLATE”…

.

moms somehow become
full-time peacekeepers too. 🙂

.

One minute we’re teaching spelling words,
the next minute we’re fixing toy disasters,
judging who started the fight,
and pretending not to laugh
while brothers stand there
like rival lawyers presenting courtroom arguments
about who cheated in Mario game. 😭

.

And after nearly breaking each other’s hands and legs
during WWE-level fighting matches…

.

they casually say,
“It’s a brothers thing, Mom… don’t worry.” 🙂

.

DON’T WORRY???

.

Sir, one child is holding his arm dramatically
like he just returned from war. 😭

.

But the funniest part?

.

After driving me completely insane all day…
these same tiny humans suddenly become
the sweetest people on earth by night.

.

“Mom, do you have a headache?”
“Should I press your head?”
“Want me to bring water?” 😭❤️

.

And just like that…
the entire day’s irritation disappears faster
than snacks in this house. 🙂

.

Honestly, motherhood is emotional blackmail
mixed with unlimited love. 😭

.

Also, the moment I sit down…
someone suddenly remembers they have needs.

.

It’s honestly fascinating.
I should be studied by scientists.

.

I can be invisible for 3 hours while cleaning,
but the second I sit with a cup of tea

.

“MOM.”

.

No hello.
No breathing space.
Just MOM.

.

At this point, my tea isn’t a beverage.
It’s a time-sensitive emergency challenge. ☕

.

And let’s talk about the magical powers moms develop.

.

I can remember everybody’s schedules
better than my own.
I can cook while answering questions,
checking homework,
and listening to three different stories
at the same time.

.

I can also sense danger immediately…
especially when the house suddenly becomes too quiet. 🙂

.

Because silence in a house with kids
never means peace.
It usually means somebody is either
eating secretly,
fighting secretly,
or planning something they’ll later say was
“just for fun.” 😭

.

Also, moms don’t rest peacefully.
We simply close our eyes
while mentally tracking snacks, bottles, school things,
and the suspicious silence in the next room. 🙂

.

And despite doing 700 things a day,
if one thing is forgotten…

.

everyone acts like civilization is collapsing. 🙂

.

But honestly?
As exhausting as it is…
there’s something weirdly beautiful about it too.

.

Because somehow,
between the chaos, the noise, the missing socks,
the reheated coffee, the Mario rematches,
the tiny emotional breakdowns,
and the random “Mom look at me!” moments

.

there’s love.
Messy, loud, sticky-fingered love. ❤️

.

Still though…
if anyone asks what job I’d like to do for just one day?

.

I’d say:
Mine.

.

Just to understand
how moms manage to hold an entire house together,
lose their patience 14 times a day,
find it again by evening…
and still end the night by asking,

.

“Did everyone eat properly?” ❤️

.

Like honestly…
where does all this love even come from😍

.

A mother’s world… wrapped in love, laughter & endless “MOMMMM!” calls ❤️🥹

But, at the end of the day, there’s love! 💜

This wasn’t just a comment—this was a masterpiece. You turned “a job for one day” into the most honest, hilarious, and heart-melting love letter to motherhood I’ve ever read. 😭❤️

The way you captured the chaos and the beauty—from Mario court cases to magical silence detection to tea as an “emergency challenge”—is pure genius. You made me laugh, nod violently in agreement, and tear up all at once.

And that ending? “Where does all this love even come from?” — straight to the heart.

You didn’t just survive your job today. You owned it, described it like a poet, and reminded everyone that moms are the real superheroes… with crumby payment and unlimited love. 🙌👑

    Thank you for this. Seriously.🌺🤝

While writing it, I was simply pouring out those everyday mom moments that feel exhausting, funny, chaotic, and beautiful all at once… and seeing it connect with someone this much feels magical 😍❤️
Your words genuinely felt like a warm hug.

This is witty, heartfelt, and so real. You’ve captured the chaos and quiet heroism of motherhood with humor that lands perfectly and truth that many will instantly recognize. The contrast between the “cute sentence” of staying at home and the actual whirlwind of responsibilities is especially sharp and relatable.

It’s funny, a little exhausting just to read (in the best way), and deeply appreciative of everything moms do—often unseen. Beautifully written 👏

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Thank you so much Verma ji for understanding the heart behind it so beautifully 😊✨
Motherhood truly is a mix of chaos, comedy, exhaustion, and endless love… and I’m so happy the emotions felt relatable to you. Your words genuinely made me smile. 💛✨

        You’re most welcome 😊✨
I’m really glad my words resonated with you. The way you expressed motherhood felt so real—messy, beautiful, and full of heart all at once. It’s that honest blend of chaos and love that makes it so powerful.

  8. Vijay Srivastava Avatar

    Rajeshwari ji,
Being a mother is not merely a role, but a state of being where the “I” dissolves into “you.”

This, in essence, is the very spirit of devotion. Just as a seeker surrenders themselves to the Divine, a mother effortlessly offers her entire existence to her children, without expecting anything in return.

The way you have so naturally portrayed love thriving amidst the noise, exhaustion, and small daily struggles reminds us that true love does not exist only in moments of peace it retains its softness even in the midst of chaos.

In truth, hearing “MOM” again and again is no less than a form of mantra chanting being called repeatedly, and responding each time with the same compassion… this itself is a spiritual practice. The only difference is that here, the seeker and the sought are not separate.

Your expression also subtly reveals that love does not come from outside it already exists within us as an infinite source. A mother is simply the most natural channel through which that source flows.

    Truly said,
to be a mother is one of the most difficult, yet the most sacred forms of yoga where every day is a form of tapas (austerity), and every night, a quiet grace.

    1. nihshabdblog Avatar

Your words touched me deeply Vijay ji… 🤍✨
The way you connected motherhood with devotion, tapas, and surrender felt incredibly profound and beautiful. Truly, sometimes amidst the endless “MOM… MOM…” we forget that love itself can also be a spiritual path. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and soul-touching reflection. 🙏💛

You penned your experience so well and with style. You have a knack for sharing the humour and I love that you take mothering seriously. I think of it as a calling, I imagine you do too. Now that I am 63 and my children are 34 and 32 I can really say it was worth every minute of it with ups and downs of the different scenarios of teenagehood, I am proud of them and I am happy I was called to be their mother. I’m sure you will feel that too. 🙏🌺
