The most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done was probably turning an ordinary holiday in Mumbai into an unexpected road trip to Goa. No hotel booking, no proper luggage, no itinerary—just a new car, a one-year-old baby, some friends, and a completely crazy idea! 😂

It all started with a very simple plan.

It was a holiday, and we decided to go to R City Mall with our friends. Our new car had arrived just one week earlier, and my elder son was barely one year old.

The plan was simple—go to the mall, have some food, maybe party a little, and spend some time together.

So we left.

And if you’re going to a mall, what do you really need?

A purse. Maybe another purse. 😂

And yourself.

That was all we had.

But somewhere between leaving home and crossing one traffic signal, the plan changed completely.

“Why don’t we just go to Goa?”

And somehow, that was enough.

Mumbai to Goa. Let’s go! 😂

There was no hotel booking. There were no proper clothes. We didn’t have a travel plan either.

My little one had just a couple of changes of clothes with him. That was it.

Then, we booked a hotel room while we were on the way…reached Goa, and then went shopping for clothes and whatever else we needed.

Interestingly, that shopping turned out to be one of the best parts of the trip. 😄

My Most Spontaneous Trip to Goa ❤️

I have always loved Goa.

I love its beautiful Indo-Portuguese houses, colourful walls, old balconies and lovely old-world feel.

I love the scenery, the bikes, the sunsets and sunrises. There’s just something about Goa that I love.

But my favourite thing?

Sitting by the sea and watching the waves.

I can sit there for hours doing absolutely nothing.

Just watching the water, listening to the waves, and enjoying the peace.

This wasn’t my first trip to Goa. I had already visited several times before, but those trips were always properly planned.

However, this one was different.

And honestly, our friends deserve a huge part of the credit for this memory. ❤️

If they hadn’t been with us that day, we might have simply gone to the mall, had our little outing, and come back home.

Without them, this Goa trip might never have happened, and this beautiful memory might not exist today.

But some friends are not just friends.

They become family—and sometimes, even more than family.

Those are the people with whom you can make a completely crazy plan, say “Let’s go!”, and somehow end up creating a memory you’ll talk about years later.

This trip was one of those memories.

There was no schedule and no list of places to visit.

Just a crazy idea, a new car, good friends, and a road leading to Goa.

And maybe that’s what I love most about spontaneous trips.

You don’t know exactly what’s going to happen.

You just go.

Sometimes, the trips you never planned become the memories you never forget. ❤️
