If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
.
If I could be any character from a book or film… I wouldn’t even pause for dramatic effect — it would be Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece.
.
Now here’s the funny part — I’m not even a “TV person.”
I don’t binge. I don’t obsess. I don’t sit there going “just one more episode” at 3 a.m.
.
But then… life happened.
Or more specifically — kids happened. 😄
Their stubborn little revolution led me straight to One Piece… and honestly?
I’m not even mad about it.
.
Because Luffy isn’t just a character…
he’s a whole vibe with zero apology.
.
This man didn’t just wake up and decide—
he’s been carrying this dream like fire since childhood… and he never once questioned it.
‘I’m going to be the Pirate King.’
.
No backup plan.
No overthinking.
No “what if I fail?”
Just pure, unfiltered audacity.
.
And the world?
It laughs. Questions. Doubts.
.
Luffy?
He smiles like, “That sounds like a YOU problem.” 😌
.
His dream isn’t realistic.
It’s not safe.
It’s not even slightly logical.
.
It’s the kind of dream people shrink…
but he?
He stretches it — quite literally. 😉
.
What I love most is his madness — that beautiful, fearless fitoor.
He doesn’t calculate life… he dives into it.
No Excel sheets. No five-year plans.
Just heart, instinct, and a reckless amount of belief.
.
And don’t even get me started on how he loves his people…
.
No trust issues.
No unnecessary suspicion.
No “seen-zoned” insecurity. 😄
.
Just one simple, powerful truth:
“If you’re mine, I’ve got you. Always.”
.
That kind of loyalty?
Rare. Dangerous. Beautiful.
.
And yes — let’s address the most relatable trait:
The man is gloriously, unapologetically food-obsessed. 😂
.
Chaos? Fight? Near-death situation?
Doesn’t matter.
.
If there’s food —
we eat first, save the world later. Priorities.
.
Honestly… there’s something about him.
Something that quietly whispers —
maybe life isn’t meant to be so complicated.
.
If I were Luffy…
I’d probably overthink less and live more.
Fear less, feel more.
And stop resizing my dreams to fit other people’s comfort zones.
.
And here’s the little Luffy-style message I’m taking with me —
.
Be a little unreasonable with your dreams.
Be a little loud with your belief.
Be a little wild with your heart.
.
Let people doubt. Let them laugh.
It adds background music to your story. 😉
.
And when life gets too serious…
just remember —
.
chase your dreams like a pirate…
and never, ever skip a good meal doing it. 🍖😄
