Doraemon, Please Take Me In! 😂

    Daily writing prompt
Who is your favorite cartoon character?

As a child, I had quite a list of favourites—Aladdin, TaleSpin, Chacha Chaudhary, DuckTales, Mowgli, and so many others that made childhood feel a little more magical, adventurous and fun. ❤️

    But then adulthood happened…

and apparently, my taste in cartoons evolved with my problems. 😂

    Because now?

    Mine? Doraemon. Obviously. 😂

    Not because he’s cute.
    Not because he’s blue.
And definitely not because I enjoy watching Nobita get bullied every five minutes. 😭

I like Doraemon for a much more practical reason:

The man owns EVERYTHING I want. 😌

    🚪 The Anywhere Door

    Take the Anywhere Door.

Why would I waste time travelling when I can simply open a door and POOF! — I’m at the person’s house?

    “Coming over?”

    “Already there.” 😎

    And just imagine the drama!

Someone says, “I live too far.”

    Me: opens door

    “Not anymore.” 😂

    No traffic.
    No maps.
    No packing.
No checking Google Maps every ten minutes to see whether that red line has become even redder.

I just open the door, step through…

    and boom—destination reached.

Honestly, if Doraemon had given me that door as a child, I would have considered travelling an unnecessary human invention. 🤭

    🚁 The Bamboo Copter

    Then there’s the Bamboo Copter.

    Short distance? Fly.

Why walk when I can simply put a tiny gadget on my head and take off? 😂

Imagine me flying over traffic while everyone below is sitting in a jam, slowly losing the will to live.

    And I’m up there…

    whoooooosh 🚁

“Sorry, I have somewhere to be.” 🤭

    Anywhere Door for long distances.

    Bamboo Copter for short ones.

Basically, traffic and I would no longer have a relationship.

    ⏰ The Time Machine

    And then comes my favourite:

    The Time Machine. ❤️

Now this one isn’t about convenience.

    This one is emotional.

Imagine being able to go back—not to change anything, not to rewrite history, not to fix mistakes…

Just to see certain people, certain moments, certain versions of life once again.

Even if it’s from a distance.

Just sitting there quietly and watching a moment that is long gone…

    Seeing someone again.

    Hearing a voice again.

Watching life happen exactly as it once did.

And maybe, just for a little while, living those moments again.

I wouldn’t ask Doraemon for much.

Just give me the Time Machine.

I’d happily pay for that ticket. 🥹❤️

    👜 The 4D Pocket

    Then there’s the 4D Pocket. 😍

Now THAT is what I call financial freedom.

    Whatever I need?

    Hand in pocket.

    “Here you go.”

    😂

    Need something?

    Pocket.

    Want something?

    Pocket.

    Forgot something?

    No problem.

    Pocket.

    No shopping.
    No searching.
    No waiting for delivery.
No “It was out of stock.”
No adding something to the cart and then forgetting to buy it.

And imagine never having to say:

“Oh no, I left it at home.”

    No, you didn’t.

    It’s in the pocket. 😌

Honestly, with that pocket, I wouldn’t even need a handbag anymore.

    And my shopping apps?

They’d probably start sending me sympathy messages. 😂

    🍽️ The Gourmet Tablecloth

    And the Gourmet Tablecloth?

Oh, that gadget was designed specifically for people like me. 😂

    This one is pure magic.

I don’t even have to decide what to cook.

I just have to say what I’m craving.

    “I want biryani.”

    POOF!

    Biryani on the table.

    “I want pizza.”

    POOF! 🍕

    Pizza on the table.

    “I want gulab jamun.”

    POOF! 🍮

    Gulab jamun appears.

    Whatever I feel like eating…

I just say it, and TA-DA! It’s right there on the table. 😂

    No deciding what to cook.
    No planning.
    No chopping.
    No cooking.
    No cleaning.

    And most importantly…

No one asking, “What are you making for dinner today?” 😭😂

Because honestly, sometimes the hardest part of cooking isn’t cooking.

    It’s deciding what to cook.

And then after all that effort…

    someone makes a face.

    “This?”

    “I don’t want this.”

“Why did you put this in it?”

    😭😂

    With the Gourmet Tablecloth?

    NONE OF THAT.

I simply say what I want to eat…

    POOF!

    Dinner is served.

And I sit there peacefully, enjoying my food and my achievement.

    What achievement?

I ordered it from a magic tablecloth. Please respect the chef. 😌😂

🪄 Basically… Give Me The Pocket

Honestly, I don’t want Doraemon’s gadgets for world domination.

I want them for personal convenience and emotional damage control. 😂

Just give me that 4D Pocket and let me say:

    “Khul ja Sim Sim.”

And I promise I’ll use every single gadget with absolutely no restraint whatsoever. 🤭

    Anywhere Door?

    Mine.

    Time Machine?

    Mine.

    Gourmet Tablecloth?

    Definitely mine.

    Bamboo Copter?

    Obviously mine.

I will not even pretend to be responsible.

    I’ll use them shamelessly.😏

Because why should I struggle unnecessarily when a blue robotic cat has already solved everything?

💙 Doraemon was never just a cartoon.

Doraemon was never just a cartoon.

He was basically a walking solution to problems I didn’t even know I would have as an adult. 😂

And honestly, now that I think about it…

Maybe that’s exactly why I liked him so much.

He didn’t just have magical gadgets.

He had the ability to make life ridiculously easy.

    And frankly…

I respect that kind of talent. 😌😂

    Now it’s your turn.

After knowing this much about me…

Which cartoon character do you think I would love—and more importantly, which one is YOUR favourite and why? 👀

I want to know what your cartoon character says about you. 😁
