My Most Annoying Trope Isn’t Even in a Movie 😏

    Daily writing prompt
What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

🌸 Some Flowers Just Bloom Differently

What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

    I have no idea.
I’m probably the least qualified person to answer this.

I don’t watch enough movies to develop strong opinions about fictional people making terrible decisions for two hours. 😂

Honestly, there are far more interesting things to do.

    Like reading.
    Writing.
    Thinking.
    Overthinking.
And occasionally having a completely unnecessary argument with myself—and winning. 😌

But if life had its own annoying trope?

    Oh, I have a nomination.

    Comparison.

That strange habit of looking at someone else’s life and wondering why ours doesn’t look quite as polished.

We tell ourselves not to compare, and then casually open Instagram at 9 a.m. and begin comparing before breakfast. 😂

Maybe we need this reminder instead—

Some Flowers Just Bloom Differently 🌸

    They say,
    “Don’t compare yourself.”

    And I agree.
    Absolutely.
    Completely.

    Until I see someone’s life
    looking suspiciously sorted
    at 9 a.m. on Instagram.

    Then my brain goes—

    “Interesting.
    Should we panic now
    or after breakfast?” đŸ˜Œ

    One flower blooms in spring,
    another takes its sweet time.

One stands tall in the sunshine,
    another quietly grows
    where nobody even notices.

    Some are roses,
    some are wildflowers,
    some are tiny little things
    growing stubbornly
through a crack in the wall.

And then there are people like us—
    still figuring out
    whether we are blooming
    or simply surviving
    with good lighting. 😂

    But perhaps
    we were never meant
    to be the same flower.

    Maybe your beauty
was never supposed to look like mine.

    Maybe my journey
was never supposed to match yours.

    So let her bloom early.
Let him reach the finish line first.

    Let someone else have
    the perfect petals,
    the perfect timing,
    the perfect life.

    You?

    Take your time.

    Grow crooked if you must.
    Bloom late.
    Lose a few petals.
    Start again.

Because a flower doesn’t stand beside another flower
    and whisper,

“Damn… why am I not blooming like her?”

    It simply blooms.

And maybe that’s the little reminder we all need today—

you don’t have to become someone else’s beautiful.
You only have to become beautifully, unapologetically,
    you. 🌸❤️

    Your turn…

What’s one thing you wish you would stop comparing yourself with?

Tell me. Maybe we’ll discover that none of us are as “behind” as we think we are. ❤️

P.S. As for movies… I’ll leave the annoying tropes to you people. 😌 I don’t really enjoy watching movies anyway. There’s just too much interesting stuff to do!

    Until The Next Whisper,
